Bought on Thursday for next day delivery for a party on Saturday. Stayed in all day, was told it would be between 1600 and 1700. Then told at 1630 that they would not be delivering it till the next day, couldn't give us a time, etc. BBQ will not help, they blame the delivery people, who don't help either. Considering the helpful competition, I just wouldn't bother with these. I've told bbq world and they respond with a verbal shrug of the shoulders.
Hello Tom Sorry your experience hasn't been as we both expected. Your order was placed on the afternoon of the 8th of June, we despatched your order with a pallet delivery company on the 9th and expected the bbq to arrive with you on the 10th however due to delivery problems in the south west coast area there were delays in you receiving your goods. All pallet delivery companies have been experiencing delays in this area due to increase in delivery volumes and availability of drivers, as you've probably seen in the press. Hopefully these issues are getting resolved and is by no means affecting everyone. As regards the missing parts you've informed us a short while ago, could you please send us the serial number of the bbq and we'll resolve as soon as we can. It may be worth double checking on the Flav-R-Wave bars as they are often tightly packed together so its easy to assume there are some missing, sometimes with a bit of pressure they can be slid apart. Ordered an expensive BBQ, and was told it would be delivered in 1-2 weeks. Didnt receive any information about the tracking, or the delivery, until I chased. Was then told it would be delayed. It eventually arrived with parts missing. Still in the process of trying to get those parts sent to me, all pretty disappointing given the time it has taken to receive it.
Excellent all round value. I purchased a Weber GBS BBQ on-line, and it arrived very quickly. I noticed that the lid had arrived slightly scratched, however one quick, and extremely polite, phone call with Alison and a new replacement lid arrived within 2 days directly from Weber. Very happy with both their sales and support service.
They have a wide selection of gas and charcoal BBQs and also accessories. Their prices were the best I could find online. Easy to use online shop with clear delivery options. Items delivered as ordered, very well packaged and with clear documentation. They kept me informed throughout the process, including a one hour delivery slot notification on the day of delivery. To top it all, I received a free accessory with my purschase. Great stuff.
Ordered a Genesis E310 on Tues for Weds delivery, taking advantage of " free next day delivery" You know what's coming!........Took a day off work Weds, nothing arrived despite Palletways ( BBQ World's carrier) stating on their track n trace 17:00 Weds. Thursday arrives, neighbours ring me saying a large pallet has been delivered in full view of passing public, great I thought 700 BBQ free to anyone that can carry it away. I email BBQ World on the Tues ( aka Dawson Dept Store) no response on Weds until I called THEM, I had already set out my stool citing that my ' contract' of purchase is with you NOT your carrier before you begin to bat off blame to them, its not my problem. I've got history with Palletways before, they delivered a Quad bike to me 3yrs ago but the engine was red hot and the delivery guy knew everything about the bike, he denied starting it. If I was you BBQ World I would look closely at your chosen carrier, sometimes price isn't the only consideration, I've seen a few negative reviews blaming Palletways, in this internet purchasing world we live in, reviews ( and price) are king
