In a business where precision is everything, it surprised me when I had something embroidered and it didn't come out looking so great. I took my son's expensive Pottery Barn backpack to get embroidered here (I should have paid the $10 and had Pottery Barn do it, but I wasn't 100% sure I wanted his name on it). Not only was this place more expensive, but his name was completely crooked (1/4" slanted down). I brought the backpack home and tried to be ok with it, but it bothered me, and I figured if I was going to pay extra to have something embroidered, it really ought to be close to perfect. I called the store and they told me to bring the backpack back to see if it was something that could be fixed. The owner went ahead and "fixed" it, but while taking stitches out, nicked the fabric of the backpack in a few areas, causing irreparable damage. As if that wasn't bad enough, his name is now straight, but not centered. It is 1/2" more to the right side than the left (and yes-I used a ruler after noticing it didn't look right). The workers were nothing but friendly, and I hate to leave a review like this, but again...this is a shop that personalizes items and names need to be centered and straight. Using a ruler/tape measurer or a level, even a laser for guidance, would be a huge help. Not sure if I would return here...if they can't get it right twice, I'm sure there's somewhere else I can take my business.
Today I went by and found out they have moved and store is closed. When I called the store phone number, I could not reach anyone. What is the new phone number, please?
Nice little place to find those special things like hand bags for your daddy daughter date.
