The woman behind the register was rude and seemed miserable, I asked how she was and she responded with obviously living the dream, what do you want to order maybe she has something going on so its whatever, the place could reinvest a bit on the interior and the paper cup only seems a bit wasteful.
latte tasted more like the paper cup it was served in than the actual coffee. Had the same experience about a year ago but thought it might have just been a bad day for the guy making it, but same things this time when I got it.
Went there in a Saturday morning. Guy behind the counter was super helpful with our order and the pastries were delicious. A peaceful serene morning coffee at a great spot. We loved it.
A great coffee shop here in downtown Austin. The prices and internet is great and the coffee is good to boot. I tried their pizza and one of their handmade peanut butter cups and both are delicious. I'll definitely miss coming here.
In most respects, I like Bennu. The coffee is great, theres always seating, and its not super loud. HOWEVER. One of the employees is just lazy, slow, and rude. There was nobody at the counter, so I stepped over to look into the office. He saw me, and actually rolled his eyes. When he put my order on the counter, I asked if I could get a to-go bag instead, and again, he rolled his eyes, and haphazardly dropped the items into the bag. This is not the first time Ive had an interaction like this with him. Today was enough to make me decide that Im not purchasing from here anymore.
