Thanks for reading our reply: Yes you should hire us and not use a Big Box Store. We will fight on your behalf to get you the BEST prices in the industry and we ONLY use Certified Flooring Installers who are insured - whom have 1 million in Certificate of insurance for each contractor we hire to do any residential or commercial flooring projects. In business since year 2000 and currently in 3 states. We are honestly surprised the way we were treated after bending over backwards for these 1st time home buyers. We approached this conflict professionally and honestly. Unlike Big Box Stores we take great pride in what we have built - VETERAN (US AIR FORCE) owned woman business and every client is treated with the upmost respect and care. We have acknowledged their service concerns (minimal) and apologize for any inconvenience. If your not happy we will fix anything to your satisfactions ----now and in the future. We stand behind our work. Which is exactly what the OWNER of the company did to make sure all service concerns were addressed when she left with a personal hand shake leaving the house asking "is there anything else we can do?" --we were given the high five. But, then when it came to collecting the balance ($$$) due is when we think the dis-connect happened and money may have been an issue or tight on these young buyers and they were just trying to get a discount or waiting to get their weekly pay check. So, these new home owners tried using the "movers" excuse to get more money off the bill saying we delayed them. Keep in mind most people NEVER schedule the same day movers on the day of all carpeting being installed but they didn't let us know this til the day of the project. They had ever opportunity to change dates. Carpet Ladies owner also went through many hoops to CANCEL their previous order only 5 days prior to the install date, then re-worked with the manufacturers so they didn't charge these young buyers a restocking fee of $1370 for canceling a carpet order just days before an installation. Then, Carpet Ladies owner went back out (on a Saturday afternoon) to meet the mom at the home spending 3 hours so this person could change the styles and colors knowing we are just days away from install --and forced us to regroup within days to get a totally different style and color shipped out of Dalton and into Nashville. We were successful and made it happen. Had it not been for the volume Carpet Ladies does with this Manf - this job would have never happened to keep the original install date. Saved these buyers time & money We never encouraged these people to schedule a move in job on the same day we were there. We find new home owners over load there "to do list" in trying to move in and therefore want to blame others for a lack of service. This does not justify a discount. If you have read this far let us clarify a comment. Apparently these neighbors outside this home heard loud voices of our contractors having a disagreement. Its was also 90 degree's out side and we are working 7 days a week. But, 2 of our guys had a quick disagreement with which lasted 5 mins over something really stupid. Owner, of Carpet Ladies was on-site and ceased their disagreement and all guys went back to work not even taking a lunch break. So, for the records this review is unduly or unrealistic magnified to the point of extreme exaggerated in opinions of what really happened. Abnormally increased or enlarged to try and get more money off there project. Again, these young new 1st time buyers should have managed their move-in differently and may not be able to afford this zip code.

Please work with another company, installation was a very poor experience. Initially working with Kathy was positive, but installation crew who spent over an hour fighting in the street (literally yelling and arguing), cutting the carpet too short in several areas leaving the tack strip exposed and messy work with staples everywhere was extremely poor. The hardest part of this experience was that Kathy was simply unwilling to acknowledge that these were issues and unprofessional. We hired Kathys carpet company for a new home carpet installation mid June 2021. Again initially, Kathy communicated well and was helpful to order carpet quickly while working under a short timeline. Kathy did assure us that the timeline was achievable and that she completed jobs regularly in less than a few weeks. Installation is really where things went south. Her crew arrived about 8:30 am and soon after spent over an hour fighting in our front yard while our carpet was left unrolled in the street. Not a great first impression for our neighbors. We also had a moving company moving furniture from our previous home the same day as carpet installation (again, something Kathy assured us was okay) meaning installation needed to work as quickly as possible. Unfortunately because of the street fight, our moving company was delayed nearly two hours costing us more than $1000 in extra and unnecessary expense. In addition, the carpet was cut too short in many places leaving the tack board exposed and unsafe (we have a 1 year old) so unacceptable. We also paid extra for the stairs to be Hollywood styled and have the lip of each stair stapled. This was very sloppily done and had to have them come back to re-do following stair by stair as Kathy was not able to see the missed areas (despite being present at both installation and re-visit). Because of the street fight for over an hour, we asked that Kathy reduce our payment by a few hundred dollars to acknowledge the extra $1500 we had to pay because of her crews unprofessionalism. Kathy was unwilling to compromise in anyway or acknowledge her hires had crossed the line and cost us nearly three hours in additional moving cost time. Simply put, use another carpet company. The carpet installation was less than satisfactory and the owner was unable to see the professionalism costing the homeowners stress, money and time. Dont hire. **Edited for Carpet Ladies response. I have added a screenshot of text messages reflecting Kathys knowledge of movers and carpet installation on the same day prior to actual installation (she is lying). Installation was set for Friday, July 2 and the message chain was from Monday, June 28. Kathy was in approval that we could get it done same day. We were very much hoping we could have scheduled carpet installation for an earlier day but Kathy was not able to accommodate. Again, we knew timing would be tight. The frustrating part is that her crew wasted two hours of that time yelling at one another in the street. Although we are younger homeowners, this is our fifth home purchase. I wonder if Kathy was expecting novice homebuyers with little experience in hiring contractors looking to take advantage of us? Instead she found that we were quite experienced and was very angry that we asked her to acknowledge her teams unprofessional. It seems unnecessary to justify our financial standing in a Google Review, so Ill end with this. Regardless of someones wealth (or home buying experience), we all deserve quality workmanship, professionalism, and fair customer service. We did not receive this from Carpet Ladies and would not hire.
