I purchased a pair of Chippawa steel toe boots from the original Jimmy over 20 years ago and they hurt my feet from day one. He said give them time and they will break in. After yrs of blisters I gave up on them but kept them around since I could see throwing away a $200 pair of boots. Recently I went back to the new Jimmy on 23 where I met up with his consistently not so pleasant wife/partner asking if there was any way to adjust them, she really could not be less helpful. So using a tail pipe expander and vice I got them to fit right myself. I guess they just wanna sell now shoes now. Good luck.

I'm only giving it one star for location and I like to shop local. Bought a pair of boots a month ago. Brand new in box. I went to return and was told by someone leaving the store as I was coming in- don't bother with a return because they only give store credit. They were right! The boots I explained did not fit but they did not have my size. I was told I can have store credit. So buyer beware. If you buy something there just know there are no returns except store credit. They do not tell customers this policy but they keep a small piece of paper under the glass counter in hopes that you see it. Poor return policy and the woman there was rude.

I bought a pair of Red Wings a couple months ago. I had one of the lace hooks break off so I called and asked if they could fix it. She said yes so I brought it down. They replaced that one and the one above it because it was bending out as well. She handed me the boot back and said have a nice day. They fixed it for me and another that would have failed soon for free. That's good customer service. Besides taking care of thier customers they have a really good selection of boots and other work clothing in stock.

Poor customer service, the staff looked annoyed that I was there. The return policy is awful and is the main reason I will never go back. Its a shame because its so close to me, I would have spent a lot of money there. Inventory wasnt very impressive either, and trying to find your size of boot is a nightmare in the disorganized footwear section.
