Doctor and operational staff were great. But it looks like front desk is interested only in making money at the expense of patient discomfort. I took the appointment yesterday and confirmed that we are in the network. Examination gets done and now we wanted to order eyeglasses when they tell us that we are not covered. I know that $400 is the benefit for the eyeglasses hence questioned them. I called the insurance where i learnt that they could charge us because we have PPO insurance plan Now, i can not find a place where they would take my insurance for the eyeglasses with an outside prescription. Insurance would pay for their services but we will not get the eye glasses....Main purpose of the visit. One more interesting thing happened. This visit was for my elderly parents who are hard of hearing, with poor vision. They gave them to sign papers which they signed. At the check out they asked for $39 each for the dilation for glaucoma. My mom already has a specialist who does this for her. We didn't need it! So, the lady very happily shows their signature where it was written that they agree for the charge for the dilation. She gave them the papers to sign without telling this paper is for the dilation for which there is a charge! It looks they make money by doing the above things. Please be careful and do not go there if you have a choice. They did waive off $39 when i got upset. But still we can not get the glasses until 2024 We are in touch with the insurance company.
I went for an annual eye exam that is usually fully covered by my insurance. The experience was good overall. However, the eye picture additional charge should be verbally explained to the patients. It was never explained and I was never given the option to choose if I wanted that extra charge. I dont think is ethic to give patients a surprise at the end of the visit. Not satisfied with this kind of practice.

I went in to get a frame for my prescription, as I entered I got an unfriendly stare from almost 10 individuals and was wondering what I stepped into. The front desk lady approached me and told me they were having a meeting and forgot to lock the door. I smiled and told her I won't be long since I was only going to drop off my prescription and select a frame, She then left me and came back 5 minutes later to tell me I had to leave and come back in 15 minutes. I told her I did not live close by (I drove at least 20 minutes to the office) but she acted like she didn't hear me and another of her colleagues told me 'sorry you have to come back'. Whatever happened to 'swift reparation', you left the door opened, no sign outside to show you were all in a meeting and I had to leave?
