Oh Melissa, I'm so sorry you feel this way. Last year when I couldn't find your images it was because your children were photographed on a separate day than all the other children. It was on a family photography day not the yearbook day. If I had known that I could've looked on the right date from the start and we would not have had that misunderstanding. I thought we had already resolved this information last year when I delivered your images as soon as the clarification came in. This year you contacted me with "We were surprised these images were not anywhere near the quality of past orders" but now I see it's actually because of your childs expressions. I always take atleast two images, the images that I took of your son and daughter were identical for expression, which would lead any photographer to think that is the way your child smiles. Unfortunately, this specific school does not schedule retakes because they have a 2nd option for spring pictures which I can take for free for the yearbook but as a digital image, you've already received the product that can't simply be returned like a print. I had the option to offer you to come into the studio for a retake but I'm thinking at this point you will still be disappointed no matter the outcome. As I previously stated, I am refunding your $50 even though it is against my policies. Best wishes in the future, with your children's school pictures.

Final UPDATE: 8 months later Shannon refunded my money. *****UPDATE: It's been 5 months and she did not actually refund my money. You can see the response given to me. She has a local studio and could have easily offered a re-take but instead told me no refunds, no retakes, too bad if you don't like it. So my main disappointment is that she her customer service has been consistently lacking in her communication. No doubt you'll have better service by using her directly. I guess services are based on her getting paid for the session (ie She did these photos "for free" for our co-op, knowing that most of us will pay for images of our kids and she will recoup her "session fee"). Our small homeschool co-op uses Sweetpea Memories Photography for the yearbook/school photos. This fall is the second experience where I have been disappointed with their service. The first time, I paid for, but did not receive my images. When I asked where they might be, I was told my children had not been photographed. So had to go through my bank to find the charges and prove that yes, they had indeed been photographed (I was there, here's my bank charge) before we finally were able to receive the images we had paid for. This round, the images we ordered were good quality as far as lighting and background, but I was not impressed with the capture of my kids. When I asked for a retake, I was told that is not an option, but I could spend more money in the Spring for new images. $50 is a lot to pay for images that we won't be handing out. Disappointed is not an adequate word to describe my experiences. Do not plan to purchase in the future.
She took photos for the tball league and the pictures did not turn out well, my daughter's name was misspelled, she blamed the league for the misspelling, was not easy to deal with, and after being told the new ones would be mailed to me I ended up having to go pick them up from the league which ended up being a while other issue. I do not recommend at all
Shannon is absolutely amazing. She has a way of making you feel extremely comfortable, she captured my labor and delivery. Even when the kids are being uncooperative, she has perfect timing to get amazing images every time.
Shannon is talented in capturing the spirit of my kids! Would highly recommend!!
