He used wood with huge missing knots on the edges that will look terrible with putty. He tried to leave and charge me with one of the windows 3/4 off center at the bottom bit fixed when I told him I wouldnt pay for it until fixed. He wasnt going to trim out one of the windows and told me he had to charge me extra even though he trimmed out the other windows. He caulked over a shim and the window leaked during the first rain. He charged me $600+ extra above the quote for materials and tool rental. I asked him to fix part of the trim that didnt line up and he gave me excuses why he couldnt. Hes a nice guy and very personable but the quality of work is significantly lower than other windows Ive had installed and without any money savings.
I called to get my window fixed, and the guy that answered me was being a jerk and really rude. I think it was because of my accent that he didn't understand me but he raised his voice at me and only said "2,000 2,000, 2,000 BYE!" I only called to get my window repair and he was being a jerk like What! This was so un called for
We have done an extensive remodel on our 1974 family home to include 2 bathrooms. On the main floor we took out an original, gold tub, knocked out a wall to expand the bathroom and created a shower in the new space, which required some real creativity. Ernie carefully crafted a unique glass enclosure for that space which works beautifully. Because of the unique nature of the shower enclosure there was a slight delay in completion but, overall, it turned out just as we had hoped. Everyone who has seen what we have done to the bathroom has been very impressed. Our application is fairly unique and Ernie's contribution has made a huge difference. Ernie also fot a new shower door to our basement shower, which remains in the original 1974 configuration. With new tile, fixtures and drain, plus Ernie's door, the shower is gorgeous! Thanks, Ernie and team. You have helped make my remodel dreams a reality!
We are still currently trying to get a refund from the manufacturer in this backordererd item in order to get this refund done asap as we are not a big company with a big bankroll. Update October 9, 2021 - I've been fully refunded! As I mentioned before, it looks Ernie does very good work, so I hope you have a better experience than I did. Update September 23, 2021 - Ernie promised me documentation on my deposit he used to pay the manufacturer, but now he says he doesn't have any documentation. Ernie is not responding to my questions, but says I'll be refunded in full. Why is the refund taking so long? I've downgraded my rating to 1 star to reflect Ernie's poor communication. I hope nobody else has to go through this same problem. He has only refunded $300 of my initial $1,000 payment. Update September 9, 2021 - Premier Glass and Construction now has an "A" rating on the Better Business Bureau. Ernie has partially refunded my deposit and is working to repay the amount in full. I've updated my review from 1 star to 2 stars because I believe Ernie is working hard to fully refund me. Most reviews are near five stars. It's unfortunate the circumstances that I've been involved in, but you should have a much better experience. Looking at the company website I can tell that the completed work is very good. Thank you, Ernie for your help in resolving this issue as quickly as possible. I paid $1,000 on May 23, 2021 for a sliding glass door that was supposed to be installed in June. Ernie has told me the door is on backorder. I've called/texted/emailed but Ernie won't answer/respond to discuss other options. The lack of communication is frustrating. I hired Ernie because of the great reviews, but I didn't realize the company has a C rating on the BBB until I filed a complaint. I requested a refund at the end of July, and haven't yet received it. I've even offered for Ernie to work something out with me to keep the job, but he just isn't responsive. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review to (hopefully) get Ernie's attention because I'd prefer to work this out directly with him. I've given plenty of opportunities. Please refund my money!
