Think the issue was converting the artwork to one color. Over printing a color over the background ends up looking somewhat faded. Stop by and we'll come up with something that you will be happy with.

Finally figured out who this was. Some difficult communication and there was trouble with the customer approving a proof. Offered his money back or a reprint. He choose the later. We reprinted and seemed like he was satisfied. Sorry that he is still angry. Pleased that over 32 years and thousands of orders, we have had very few complaints and those we did have were resolved to our customers' satisfaction. We guarantee satisfaction!

Horrible. Unprofessional. They do not pay attention to instructions. Very poor work. They dont deserve any stars. I advise anyone to not use maddys for nothing at all. Full of crap. Oh really Maddy?? Steve? Frederick? You never heard of me? You didnt print header cards for me?? Now your lying to your customers. And stop calling my fiance, asking her to ask me to remove my review!!! I reached out to Maddy's Print Shop to assist my AEC (architecture, engineering, consulting) firm in establishing a relationship with a local print shop for our Florida offices. I needed a large full-color book (500+) pages printed and bound to be presented as a high quality deliverable for our clients. While the folks that own and manage this shop are very friendly (Steve and Frederick), this particular print shop simply did not have the attention to detail that we require, and made repeated errors on the job that necessitated a missed deadline of 2 weeks. Within that two week span, I had to repeatedly "hand hold" the printers through issues despite providing detailed instructions. When being provided a pick up time, I would arrive at the shop only to find more errors in the print job and unfinished work. On my fourth visit to the store to pick up the book they reprinted in an attempt to correct their errors, the reprinted book had pages that were falling out and dirty/tarnished pages. I spoke directly with both the owner and production manager about the lack of quality control and poor communication regarding both the printing instructions and pick-up times. It was ultimately the most disappointing that after all of that, the product was still not 100%. Although I am sure there are areas where this shop excels, I would not recommend it for any corporate business where deadlines need to be met and quality control must be top-notch. They provided excuses that this was going to be a problem for any shop due to the "large size" and "manual effort" needed to complete the book, however I have found numerous other print shops in Fort Lauderdale that are no stranger to this type of job -- and offered a much better price. I hope this review is helpful to anyone doing due diligence on a print shop in the Fort Lauderdale area.
