Only came here for lunch. While the food was great as expected, it was exceedingly pricey and the wine vintages they had available weren't that great (I've had Vasse Felix wines previously and they have been amazing). While it is rated as one of the best restaurants in the region, I don't think it is with the mark up they use.

Came here anticipating a top notch service and exquisite lunch as the reviews promise. On arrival the car park was full to the brim. Our first clue that this place may have been a scene was the stretch Cadillac SUV parked out front. Clusters of semi drunk groups gathered in the tasting area shouting about the things theyd get up to once they were fully drunk - again, not a promising start. We were then seated with a 10-minute delay, which is forgivable if the service makes up for it. Once at our table we waited a further 10 minutes only to be greeted by a server who, rather than offer to talk us through the menu, abruptly asked if we were ready to order. Umm, no!? We then asked about the chardonnays of which there were three plus to choose from by the glass ranging from affordable to high end. When asked about the differences we were told premium was premium. Uh, what!? Arent you a world renowned vineyard with accolades coming out of your ears? When we were told we could quickly head downstairs to taste a wine or two, we used it as an excuse to GTFO to another vineyard. Sorry Vasse Felix, but your whole schtick leaves a lot to be desired.

We absolutely loved this place. The grounds were amazing and the wine tasting experience was awesome, we learnt about the history of the area and the process of the wine making. Our host was called Stephanie and she made the experience even better.

Had lunch with my family a couple of weeks at Vasse Felix and enjoyed a very high quality and very tasty meal. Outstanding main, I had the Wagyu beef and the XO with the tarmasalta finished it off superbly. The artichoke was soft and sweet and to be recommended. The wife had the duck from the specials and thoroughly enjoyed it. My 9 yr son had a taste of both, demolished his perfectly sized burger and called it the best lunch ever. Who am I to disagree. Good service, well thought out menu and executed very professionally. Thank you. David
