Thank you for your review. I very much regret your experience. Let me address your concerns. First, your spouse is the patient. You have never met me and I don't understand how you come to the conclusion that I am condescending. Second, your spouse has been given the option to restyle from the very beginning. This is a standard policy in my office. Both my office and the lab absorb the cost of the second pair of lenses. Third, it is totally against the policy for any vision insurance to have the member and the provider on a three way call. It is highly counterproductive. The standard protocol is to take the fact from both sides and make a determination. You omitted to mention to the insurance personnel that your spouse was given the option to restyle from the beginning. The personnel is being spoken to by her supervisors for this error in her judgement to resolve the matter. Your spouse is welcome to come in and select another frame.

The dr is very rude and condescending! You're looking to pay $500+ for frames and if they don't fit correctly after being lensed you are just out your deposit money. When trying to figure out our options our insurance called on three way and he lied to her about what options were given to us at pick up time. He yelled at the insurance woman when he realized I was on the phone. I wouldn't recommend giving him any business at all! Check out his YELP reviews also before making your appointment. I understand completely why being on a three way call with provider and patient is counter productive, then the patient can hear the story being told from the other side. I was on the phone and experienced your rude and condescending interaction with me and her. Either way the restyling option wasnt given to us and could have been on multiple occasions, weather its your policy or not that wasnt information told. Once I heard that options (on the phone with insurance) it was I who stated if thats available then we dont need to discuss a refund and then I was hung up on.

Thank you for your review. I very much regret your experience. Since you have not left a name, I am not able to accurately address your concerns. The only issue I can address is the time it took to get your son's glasses. Your son's glasses are fabricated by lab directed by your insurance. In the best of times, their turn around time is 4-6 weeks. During the current pandemic, it typically took nearly 3 months. We have no control over this. You are welcome to verify this with your insurance. Glasses are checked before being dispensed and of course you inspected them at the time of dispensing. It is not possible for me to address the rest of your comments. You are welcome to call to discuss your concerns with me directly.

This is the worst optometrist office I have ever been to in my life. The staff are rude, and 6 months later I am still trying to get my son glasses because I used his insurance thru this unprofessional place. Ordered my son's glasses, took 3 months to come in. They stated it was the prison's fault who makes the glasses (med-ical insurance goes thru a prison to make them), however when I asked if they can contact the prison who makes the glasses, they stated they can't. Nothing they can do. Don't believe that but ok. Glasses came in, they broke right away. I went in and they stated they cannot fix them, and other options were hundreds of dollars for a replacement. I decided to leave and the Doctors wife literally chased me outside to the parking lot to ask me why I'm not buying another pair there. This made me feel really uncomfortable and weird. After I explained I wanted glasses elsewhere she just turned around and went inside. Lastly, I called to obtain my son's eye prescription, staff still rude, said they cannot send me it because the doctor needs to sign the prescription first, but promised to send it as soon as possible. I asked if I can talk with the eye doctor over the phone, but was denied. I waited a whole month mainly because I was too upset to call back, feeling like they are holding his prescription hostage so I have to get glasses there. I call a month later and ask for a supervisor, the woman replies "I can help you". What kind of an answer is that? Unprofessional. I asked for a supervisor again, in which she then stated she was. Not sure if that's true. I explained how I need my son's prescription and how it feels that it is being held hostage. His prescription was finally released, so I can get him a replacement for his broken glasses elsewhere. Because of going to Lugonia Vision Center, my son has not had glasses for 6 months, and I still have to order his replacement out of pocket. I used his insurance benefits for NOTHING except to get his eye prescription. AVOID THIS CENTER, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED .
