Anyone that knows me and the love for the breed knows I raised my Children with Shih Tzu. I encourage well supervised young children to grow up with Shih Tzu. I believe my children were taught compassion from having Shih Tzu. Just to make note: your comment yesterday changed from Michael my ex now to you.

I have just called Stacey, she answered in a very defensive way. We are looking for a puppy for our 7 year old daughter. As soon as I mentioned my daughters age she laughed. Looking at this well build google post, seems like she is not the most professional breeder I spoke with.
I denied you a puppy, because you stated you were looking for a breeder. Then you wanted to know if the puppy was an imperial or regular Shih Tzu. I spent more then 1/2 hour on the phone. I can not know coloring in future puppies. I would not allow you to have one of my puppies even though you offered extra money.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Never mind getting a puppy from this woman, she was absolutely unpleasant and rude before even getting to that point. I called to inquire about a shih tzu puppy to add to my family. I asked many basic questions: availability/process, typical pricing, and details on parent dogs. Each time I asked about her process, she promptly reminded me she had a waitlist. I asked what her prospective timeline for puppies was like and again, waitlist. I asked her typical pricing of puppies and she told me she couldn't give me that information and that none of the people on the waitlist know. I asked coloring of the upcoming litters parents and she said "that's genetics, how would I know" rather than just saying the color. As far as I'm concerned, these are very typical questions people ask and even if she feels they're not, I hardly think treating customers so rudely is necessary. THEN she suggested I go to the AKC website because I clearly don't know anything about shih tzus. This will be my family's 4th shih tzu and I have extensive knowledge on the breed. Her dogs may be nice and I understand she thinks she's special because she has show dogs, but as a customer, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving this woman any of my money. It feels unbelievably unprofessional for someone to treat a prospective customer with such condescension especially when being asked simple questions. Happy I don't have to deal with her for anything else :) Edit: I actually didn't ask any of those questions mentioned in the reply to this post, wrong person. I'm guessing I'm not the only one that's been put in this situation. At the end of the call, Stacy had not denied me a dog, I just chose not to be put on the waitlist. This website also advertises being a "shih tzu breeder". My apologies if I thought you might be.....a breeder. If I was unable to get a dog from this breeder for whatever reason, I would have appreciated that being said up front.
I think of you a lot. I appreciate you keeping. In contact.

I found Stacey in the summer of 2013. I was searching the AKC website for breeders in my area. I was very impressed she was a Breeder Of Merit. I knew that title was well earned after seeing the pictures on her website. I quickly sent her an email! I checked back with her in October and she informed me she had a little girl available. That little girl we named Lacy is now 7. She is an absolute delight! Stacey's puppies are healthy, smart and well socialized. I can't say enough about the pride Stacey puts into her breeding. I was so honored she chose us!
