Our scale staff is expertly trained in metals and will always try and upgrade your material whenever possible. Based on the statement about your brass being added to your contaminated aluminum, I'm fairly certain that you probably had die cast zinc and not brass. Zinc is often used as a brass substitute and upon first glance appears to be brass but in fact is not. Die cast zinc objects that immitate brass often include statues, vases, chandeliers, light housings, small figurines, plumbing and bathroom fixtures. These cast zinc materials are classified as a pot metal and are often alloys and contain differing plating materials. When used in plumbing brass, such as valves; there can often be a sufficient amount of brass present to qualify as contaminated brass, but when used in most applications it will be processed as contaminated aluminum. I would be happy to review your ticket with you specifically and with our scale photos we should be able to identify which pieces you are concerned with. Wish I could give 0 Stars, I brought in what should of paid out roughly $150 - $175 and left with about $50 bucks in hand... I'm fairly sure it's because I am a female, and when I have called numerous times I get either a ringing phone or told in very poor English that the manager or owner are not in or available... Than I have never received a call back... I literally watched them take my clean brass and put it in my dirty aluminum... I recommend to weigh each individual group before you go in so you know what you are truly being paid... I also recommend to have the iScrap app to stay current with prices...

Hi Mr. Frederiksen, it's Jason, the owner. I can't recall if we have met at the scale or not, but this is not the kind of experience we want for our customers. We take accusations of weight tampering and stereotyping seriously and would like to discuss this transaction with you further. I have reviewed the transaction photos along with the surveillance video. Our state certified scales use a digital interface with our purchasing software to instantly capture scale weights automatically. The weights, which are also digitally displayed on large indicators above each scale are not entered manually, but captured automatically with a single button. Customer service is something that we can always improve on. I apologize for any apparent indifference our buyer showed towards your initial concern with the weights. The items in question should have just been re-weighed in order to verify the accuracy and nullify any concerns. This is always an option for our customers. Crooks, straight Crooks,I came in with the same container Ive used to turn in brass at nevada recycling at least 50x,but here it see.s to weigh 7 lbs less! In fact I came here yesterday and got the usual amount! Today I'm clean and dressed nice so I guess the pony tail boys think I'm a townie. The shorter pony tail boy informed me that different things weigh different amounts,with a smug attitude,im so sick of scrapyard people treating you like you're less than they are,and this one is worst! DONT GO HERE THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU! I WILL MKE SURE NOBODY FROM MY WORK OR LIFE GOES TO THIS DUMP. G.F.Y. CHUMPION

The staff is really friendly. When you get there parking is in the back on the right. Get a cart and take your stuff to one of the two scales in the building.
