Just the facts, draw your own conclusions. Contacted NSBS in spring of 2020. Went back and forth on sizes, options with Fred Senter. Received sample dwgs of other projects, photos of a building going up with Fred in a scissor lift. Then got photos of finished building. Fred seemed to know how to build these types of buildings. Took the leap, gave him a 50% deposit in July 2020 for a 26 x 30 building. Did not get my engineered drawings until September. Got bldg permit, rushed to get foundation done in November so the building could go in. That is when excuses started - weather (understandable in NE) from December to March, then backlog in front of me, then Fred got Covid but crews still working, then just a few more weeks... In May was told would get my building in June, then all of a sudden steel is not available. And for a variety of reasons (excuses), he had not used my deposit to buy any materials. I accepted that excuse through early July, but then determined that many other companies that make these types of buildings had steel and are putting up buildings. Last response from Fred was late July - his tone was annoyance at me asking for an update. He isn't responding to emails, MA Sec. of State has inactivated his corporation, and he has pulled his Facebook page. But his website is still up if you want to see if he will quote you a building...
I left an $11,000 deposit with Fred and he kept telling me Ill be there next week and had every excuse in the book its been a year now and still nothing done, Im seeking Criminal charges against him, if anyone else are having this problem with please get in touch with me through Facebook, I would like to talk to the attorney general about him. I know of 2 other people he is doing the same thing to.
Unfortunately, my experiences are the same as told above. I gave Fred a deposit in Dec. 2020 and soon thereafter the excuses began. Took 4 months to get the engineered drawing that he said would take 2-3 weeks. My foundation and floor are totally in place and have been for 3 months and my last reply from Fred was in early Aug. 2021 telling me that he would be in touch with a timeline.. not a date but a range of when he felt they'd be able to get in and get started and then, once close to that range, he'd work on shoring up an exact date... Well, that was two months ago and Fred has gone ghost.. I just saw the dissolution by court order of Northern Steel Buildings... Looks like it's time call my attorney and set up a way to try and get my $15K deposit back...
