Came purely for Sunday lunch. We booked in advance and had to wait half an hour for our table. The food was okay but nothing spectacular, probably wouldnt go back.

Didn't get passed the booking stage. So rude on the phone I couldn't bear it if that was a reflection of future service and manner with which they'd speak to guests.

The hotel is lovely and relaxing, the spa is nice however not very big not enough for a full day. We had the tasting menu and it was fab!

Hotel is charming and offers a lot of options (restaurants, close to many towns, spa facilities) but none of them were particularly impressive. Service was just fair with the exception of one super nice woman at reception. Ex - asked for wellies both days and waited 20+ min both times that we eventually gave up and never got them; concierge pretty useless. Potting Shed restaurant host was unnecessarily snooty and food took forever both there and at the Greenhouse (and wasnt that good). The hotel is clean and well kept but the style /decor was not our taste at all - felt like a weird 70s vibe mixed with English countryside. Spa was OK. Had a nice time but wouldnt return.
