This past Sunday was my first time exploring New York City. One of my top places to visit was Noah NYC. For the past 5 years I have followed Noah and have loved everything they put out and what they stand for. As I was walking down Mulberry street I saw that Royal blue flag waving in the air, what felt like electricity filled my body. I was finally going to experience the store that I longed to see for years. But something strange happened when I walked in, I wasn't met with the same energy. The store I grew to love for so many years online felt so distant from me in person. I was greeted with a very shallow and cold hello. My presence seemed to be a burden to the three employees that were working there. I questioned if I even belonged in the store. Do I fit the demographic, do I make enough money, should I leave? These were the thoughts that went through my mind. I wanted to bond with the employees, speak about our love for fashion, ask them how it is to work at Noah. What are there favorite pieces, what are they inspired by but that wasn't the case. Don't get me wrong the store is lovely, it's organized in such a genius way, I recommend everyone go see it if they love Noahs online presence. After 5 years of following Noah I knew I needed to leave with something to commemorate my time. I bought the Jade 195 Mulberry St shirt, its amazing. My take away is this, go to Noah and experience it for yourself. Maybe your experience will be different from mine, I hope it is. Finally, to the staff and those at Noah, customer experience is everything. How you make someone feel is crucial to your brand, Your online image and your store image should be the same. If you say you care for people, please exemplify it and be a leader in hospitality.
Received very stand-offish and rude service on 10/25/20. The young man working there stared at me without asking if I needed help, how my day was going, or if I was looking for anything specific. There were no other customers in the shop, not sure why he was having trouble speaking to me. He gave the only customer in the store zero customer service. No acknowledgement upon walking in and browsing, rude when checking out. Disappointing because I usually receive great service at this shop. Where was Will?!?!
