I had to come 4 times in order to open a checking account. I'm international, so I understand that the first time I didn't come with proper documentation. The second time I came, they lost my application...The third time they requested my SSN for verification purposes which they could have asked earlier. I wasn't able to deposit money in the account for some reason, so I had to come a fourth time. At my fourth visit, I tried to deposit money. They requested my account number but I don't have it since no one ever printed it out for me! Is a customer supposed to ask these pertinent information themselves? A girl looked up my number and scrawled it on a piece of paper illegibly, prompting me to wait even longer so I can request a proper document with my information. I was dumbfounded when a bank teller wrote it by hand - I assumed most important transactions are conducted in print.. Did I mention that the debit card came with my name spelled incorrectly? And this is after all that verification, and copies of my identification documents.. Avoid this place unless you absolutely have to - it's not worth the hassle and waste of time. EDIT: The bank sent me a corrected card. It was dated a few days after the first card.
Worst service- debit card still has not arrived after a MONTH of opening a bank account. Ironic because theres an unattainable promotion where if you get an amazon gift card if you make hit certain amount of purchases with your debit card- how can i do that if it already takes you a month to send a debit card?
