Larry, I am sorry you feel this way. We did have the car towed back to our shop and replaced the bushing kits. The bolts that broke are not visible due to the baseball sized bushings and washers covering them. We did repair the car at our costs and offered to split the bill which was a total of $137 to your son. I also offered to your son to make minimal monthly payments ($20). We are in no way holding his car hostage !!! All on a car that was purchased AS-IS !!! I will say that how this went down was unfortunate but there are always risks when purchasing a 20 year old car !!!

My son saved for several months to buy his first car. Went to teds found affordable car(2k) that was presented as safe! Shortly after sale his front end fell out. Had it towed back to Teds to get fixed. They are now holding his car hostage for hundreds of dollars he dosnt have. DO NOT SHOP AT TEDS.

I purchased a car at Teds and it has been an absolute nightmare. A month after I bought it I had to have multiple repairs for issues that were asked about prior to purchase. They were nice enough to pay for the part and not charge for labor, but that wasn't the end of the problems. A year into my ownership I had to replace the transfer case, timing cover, and a bunch of gaskets and seals. the price for the repair was about 4000 dollars. A couple days ago the transmission cooler lines and radiator fan went out which equaled about another 1000 dollars. To sum up the cars at Teds might seem like a good deal and might not have any obvious problems with them, but they are more than likely junk which will require tons in repairs if you plan on having the car for an extended period of time. My advice is to shop elsewhere at a reputable dealer that won't stick you with a bunch of repairs and money on a newly purchased vehicle.

My husband and I purchased a vehicle from Ted's and were impressed with the service! They open early, they were willing to deal, and they walked us through step by step with all the paperwork involved. We appreciated Ron taking his time with us to give us the vehicle we wanted. We had been to another dealer who we thought would be good from prior experience, and were disappointed with the salesperson's attitude. Everyone at Ted's was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stop here first for any future car buying.
