Quite a disappointment. I was really looking forward to going there for so long. They used to make the best duck in town. Not any more. My husband said he makes a better stroganoff (and his is not good at all). So that tells you how no-good it was. Service was bleak and confused. They kept bringing us other people's orders - staff didn't seem to know the tables. Staff didn't know the menu either. We ordered bread (yes, these days you have to pay for bread). The menu says it comes with tapenade and butter. The server didn't bring any tapenade. He didn't even know what that is. So, the main courses were not worth the trip. But...the deserts were quite good. We tried two of the crepes and the chocolate cake. Oh well...at least we had excellent company. Our friend is terrific. One other good thing. When were done, we wanted to stay and enjoy our friend. So we asked the waiter if there were guests waiting for a table, or could we stay? He said we could stay.
Amazing goat cheese dumplings and pierogis and incredible cheesecake. The schnitzel fingers were my least favorite item. Really cute and cozy outdoor patio.
Almost scooted right past this place, but Im so glad we stopped. The service was so friendly, the food and drinks were perfect, and the ambiance just kicked it all up a notch. What an awesome unique place. If I lived in Santa Monica, Id be here all the time.
