Thank you for your review! You are correct in that our office policy is to not provide the pupillary distance. However, we provided several ways for you to obtain it if you planned to buy glasses elsewhere. You were immediately given a refund when you requested such for your frames and lenses. In addition to your refund, the office manager, in front of you, confirmed to Dr. Williams that your order was not submitted to our lab making it impossible to bill one's insurance without submitting the order. How to interpret the refund on your receipt was done so verbally in person, verbally on the phone, and via email. We take extreme pride in our customer service even when you feel we are not the right practice for you. Please call if you have any further questions.

My experience was not so great to say the least. This office does not provide your PD along with a copy of your eye exam. I wish I had known before swiping my card for glasses. Requested a refund after learning of this rule. After requesting a refund the office has still not provided me an accurate receipt for my records. The receipt only shows a refund for frames and not lenses and other fees. I had to contact the claims Dept to ensure they dont attempt to overcharge my insurance company the way that they tried to overcharge me for eye classes. Love to try and support local businesses but these are RULES that will keep me from being in support. Complete waste of my time....

We checked every vision insurance that we accept prior to your visit to potentially expedite the process of verifying your insurance. However, when your mom initially called to make the appointment for you and did not have your specific insurance information, it made seeing you at your exact appointment time very difficult. Once you arrived, we called your specific insurance to verify it, and they kept us on hold for 40 minutes as you were made aware several times. Once verified they gave us your benefits which we expressed to you prior to your exam. Yes, there was a fee for services that you requested that was included as one of your benefits. When you refused to pay for a service that you requested and received, yes you were asked to remove the contacts so that you did not receive a bill for the service or medical device. Finally, we apologize if you feel the doctor over stepped in confirming that your lenses were removed. It was not intended to be rude or disrespectful.

VEA eye is a very poor and unprofessional establishment. To begin with, I had to wait over 40 mins after my appointment time because they had problems verifying my insurance, if you value your time stay away from VEA. This is not the worst of it however, after my exam with Dr Williams, I was asked to pay $100 for an exam I know was covered by my insurance. After i refused to pay, Dr Williams asked that I remove the trial pair of contacts I had on and throw them away. This, by itself, is incredibly unprofessional but to add on to it, after I removed them he accused me of lying and asked to examine my eye. On another day I might have exploded and called him a four letter word, but I agreed and he checked them and was wrong, of course. Vea just wants your money and could not care less about your health. STAY AWAY if you value your time, money, and dignity. Pathetic place of business and a Doctor with ZERO class.

Extremely friendly. They were able to schedule me and my partner the next day for an appointment. Frames were slightly expensive, but they were great quality (if frame price is an issue I would encourage getting your prescription and ordering frame online). Would strongly recommend them to anyone.
Dr. Williams and his staff run an efficient and thorough eye center. Unlike some practices where you spend 30 minutes to an hour waiting to see the doctor, I have never had to wait more than five minutes to be seen. Even more, I require a specialty contact and am a hard fit. Dr. Williams actually seemed excited to take me as a patient. He's serious about his craft making the most minor of tweaks to my lenses to ensure the best vision possible and a great fit. I highly recommend VEA.

Awful service, unprofessional doctor. Waited 45 mins past my appointment time and had a very bad experience during my exam. They tried to get $100 out of me for an eye exam that was covered by my insurance. If you enjoy your time and money DONT GO HERE. Just another place trying to scam you
