Beautiful resort with good boutique shops, mini food market, and several different cafés & restaurants. The service is passable, reserved in nature with very little in effusive charm or outward cheer. Not up to the standards I would have imagined for an elite property but lovely in many ways.

We decided to stay for Easter and we're wildly underwhelmed. My husband and I were here last weekend for our wedding anniversary and decided to bring my sister back before she left to go back to Paris. We paid for Citrus Club access and we were questioned several times by staff about our rooms and access. Three times to be exact- we were accused of sneaking in and not having rooms. Not a single other person was questioned yesterday- we spent a good amount of time in the club. We witnessed other guests without access being served and not questioned. Our room came with a so called personal concierge. They didn't even respond to my email requests sent several times. Our dog was never given a dog bed or water. Champagne never brought to the room. Staff in the gift shop, at the front desk, and at the Citrus Club were rude and unhelpful. They made my sister, husband, and brother in law feel unwelcome. We witnessed several older white men and women dressed poorly, acting as if we didn't belong- stealing our chairs at the pool, skipping us in line at the bell hop, and demanding services and privileges beyond what is acceptable. The gift shop staff was completely unhelpful and rude. My sister called me in tears wanting to leave before we arrived saying everyone had treated her terribly. She's an international traveler, a career woman, and has visited some of the most prestigious hotels and resorts in the world. This is the worst treatment she's received thus far. For the ambit we are spending- a simple comped meal, voucher, or follow up would go a long way. We came to enjoy our weekend, tipped generously, and still felt as if we weren't good enough because we have an Asian last name and my husband is half black. Please do better to make your guests of all backgrounds feel welcomed. There's a real waspy upright aire and given all of the recent negative reviews and our experience- we won't be coming back. Do better Waldorf Astoria- it's 2022. Young successful people with money to spend will go elsewhere. Please also provide Citrus Club members better rooms that's are updated and bright- the brown theme is drab and for 1k plus we expect and deserve more. I'm embarrassed for the staff and guests here- my sister was in tears and my husband so offended he didn't want to stay. The only saving grace was Asia in the Citrus Club who treated us like family and addressed all of our issues. Such a historic place is a gem in Phoenix- but it seems Americas troubling past is part of the package as well. Give 5 star service to guests who pay, not just older white people in khakis with demands beyond reason, that are openly entertained. This place reeks of white male privilege and it's off putting and offensive at best. We won't be back.

Beautiful place with all the trimmings of a high class resort. Excellent service and location and beautiful pools bars and common spaces. The prices of everything match the caliber of service so save up. Nothing is free except a shot of espresso and a half bottle of water.

Terrible experience! Shouldn't be a Waldorf property. The Adobe golf course is a municipal course at best...definitely not what one would expect in Arizona especially at a Waldorf property. The hotel fraudulently charged me for an extra night and it took an act of congress to get the charge reversed. Pass on the poorly ran property.
