Here at the South Eastern Eye Center, our goal is to accomodate all of our patient needs even during the midst of staffing issues. We are proud of our practice and in it's newness understand that issues will arise. Our hours of operation are listed on our doors and unfortunately, we do not allow patients in the building prior to those times. Please be mindful that offsite parking occurs from time to time so an empty parking lot does not mean we do not have employees in the building. We have reviewed your account and agree that your insurance has one of the longest wait times for eyewear to be returned. Your feedback is valuable and we are now considering a pivot from this insurance carrier and others like it. We are one of few providers that work with these particular carriers but ongoing complaints and issues makes it a challenge. We will continue to honor the agreement you discussed with our practice manager the day before this review was made in order to resolve the lab delay with your daughter's glasses. THIA IS BY FAR THE WORST EYE CENTER I'VE EVER BEEN TO!!!! If I could give a negative 5 stars I would because no one seems to have a clue about anything!!! I called to get a status on my daughter's glasses, I could never get a answer so I legt a message. Needless to say 2 weeks later I still haven't got a call back. Fast forward I called 3 times only to get voice-mail again so I decided go to office. Upton arrival there's no cars in the parking lot & the office is empty. I proceed to ask about the glasses the front desk help was stumbling around & flipping through some paperwork only to say she didn't know & needed to ask someone else. When I said I'll wait, I got the response that the employee that works in that area wasn't in so I left. I made 1 more attempt & returned prior to closing only to find out the the employee that deals with the glasses never show up.
Never even made it to the doctors chair. Im not sure if theyre under staffed or just really slow. I had a 1000 appointment and was in the office at 950 (I called the day before to make sure when to arrive and was told 10 minutes early was all that was needed). 1030 rolls around and she was just getting another patient to a room. I counted 2 patients besides myself and I still wasnt seen or pretested in that time which is just ridiculous. They need to work faster or do a better job scheduling patients. Also, they wont release patients information or release authorizations same day because apparently that cannot be done by the receptionist/tech.
The South Eastern Eye Center was great, for once I wasn't rushed though my appointment. She took the time to let me really choose what slide looked better for me. They really helped make my eye sight improve. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.
We are saddened to hear that you have struggled to get clarity on the things we have been doing to assist with your case!! Dr Gamble has been alerted and immediate action has been taken to include staff correction on how to better manage situations like yours!! Working at reduced capacity for several months can result in mis-haps but our pledge is to find the short comings and fix them!! I first saw Dr Gamble March 2021! I was so excited because after having my eye condition since I was 3 (now 34) no one had ever gone into detail and explained my issues! I left that day in very good spirits. Fast forward almost a year and I have yet to get my medically necessary contact lenses. They claim to have put in an insurance claim March/April 2021 and said they would contact me I called in June and was told insurance needed more information back in March/April but no one had called me to get the information! August I went into the office (my daughter had to have her glasses repaired) and I asked again and was told they are looking into it and will call me shortly. Received a call November that they submitted the claim again and needed new eye measurements so I done that and its now February and Ive heard nothing! Ive been calling and not been able to get through. Yes I could have paid for the lenses but I dont have $700 to pay out of pocket. Ive never had this issue! Oh and I was referred to a retina specialist at my first visit who was super far away and didnt accept my insurance, still waiting on a new referral after I told them I had changes in my vision when I went into the office in August. Like I said Dr. Gamble is great, their communication is trash and everyone also Ive dealt with have been in a rush to get the conversation over and move on! Would recommend Dr. Gamble, wouldnt recommend the office because Id the staff and lack of follow through and communication. Fingers crossed I get my lenses soon
