WARNING TO ANYONE CONSIDERING RENTING HERE: There is a massive high rise project(Salseforce Tower) next to the building that just started construction and will not be complete until 2022 earliest. Construction laws allow workers to operate starting at 7AM every day! Leasing office failed to mention this to me before setting up my lease. Just thought everyone had a right to know before paying top dollar for this building. There are much better alternatives nearby: 640 N Wells, One Eleven, just to name a few. Wolf Point East is a great building and I was excited to live here before having to find out about this construction afterwards. If you like being woken up by jack hammers and other heavy machinery, this is the building for you.
I lived here for just under a year on a 22 month lease. Positives: - Maintenance team is very responsive to all work requests and go above and beyond to complete the job. - Breadth of amenities - as more tenants came in post-pandemic, it has been a little busier and some amenities are difficult to access during peak hours (e.g. after work/sauna, yoga room), but by and large they are always clean and in tip-top shape. Again, the maintenance and cleaning team do a phenomenal job and are a pleasure. - Views are great from the apartment and amenities. I will look out into the great expanse and get lost, and it's really calming. - Generally quiet inside the unit. - Keyless access is really convenient. Negatives (largely resolved with management): - It's hard to check this in the initial move in, but my dryer was faulty and noticed that whenever the run was done, there was dark fluff around the unit, and a strong odor emanating from it with the apartment getting to be pretty hot. It took a while for me to eventually ask to get it check but apparently was blowing dust throughout the unit. The maintenance team fixed it once notified. - As someone who is very sensitive to smell, a lot of different odors from the hallways tend to drift into the apartment and linger. Unfortunately, it is the primary source of filtered air and blocking the circulation may make the unit a bit stuffy as the maintenance team in my previous building had to use a door block. In the mornings, I'll occasionally smell something akin to a light sulphuric smell and might come from the construction as well, and on occasion I will smell cigarettes. Perhaps it's unit specific or that I have a really sensitive smell. I also have an air filter running in my apartment, and whenever I turn it on near the entrance, it generally indicates red (highest level of filtering). There are days when there are no problems however. - Having found out they needed to change the cabinets in the bathroom to be ADA compliant 6-8 months into the lease when the apartment wasn't specified as such. Maybe it was just the timing of having requested this after the faulty dryer, but the shelves ended up being a little more inconvenient to access. They however gave a day's credit to rectify this, but I would ask ahead of time if any expected work will be done on the unit in the future. I believe the majority of tenants really do like it here as it seems to have a a lot of activities and wonderful amenities. Personally, given my sensitivity to smell/air quality, it's been difficult for me to fully enjoy living here and having paid over $3,000 including utilities/concessions factored in for a junior 1bd is a bit steep but felt fair in the beginning. I also appreciated the fact that they did keep their amenities open during the pandemic.

I have lived here for a few months now and couldn't be happier. The views are amazing and never get old, the location is perfect being so close to public transit and the highway, and the staff is very friendly and always helpful, the management does a great job sending communication about anything that may be going on and they always have events planned for residents to attend and socialize. I love that it's keyless entry so you only need your phone (or apple watch), the packaging gets delivered and stored safely downstairs, bike locker is amazing if you have a bike, and the co-working space is as perfect as it gets for a quite place to work remotely. It does get busy during the weekend with a lot of people hanging out in all the amenity spaces but that's personally what I would like to see in building this size. Everyone is friendly and you can always meet new people and socialize. If you are looking for a quite place to live then this place (or just a city in general) is probably not the best idea. Being a somewhat noise sensitive person, the only drawbacks are the sounds of construction on Salfesforce tower and the very loud HVAC system in my unit (not sure if this is the case for every unit). While the construction noise is hardly noticeable with the windows closed, if you want to get some fresh air during the day, you will definitely hear it. Overall, very impressive building and glad I decided to move here!
I have lived here for over 2 years and cant say enough about this building. It is the best building in Chicago and management/the door staff are the nicest most attentive people you can meet. Place is always spotless and amenities are top tier.
Be weary of the leasing team at this building, I would never recommend. Some shady business practices. Check out Milieu building in west loop, much nicer.
