Very nice trail but if you are not in good health i will not recommended.Is not kid friendly at all and lots of mosquitos

Arrived too late for the Corkscrew Sanctuary. A Local recommended the Rookery. Put on your best walking shoes and look out for gators. We were ready to turn around at 2.5 miles and hit the hot tub after our 5 mile walk. Saw only 2 young gators and several babies near the water.

Thank you for your support! A great alternative way to access the trail and skip the crowds is by hiking into Bird Rookery Swamp via the purple trail head at CREW Flint Pen Strand.
