Outside of a few at the front desk and the older staff, the help here is usually suspect. They line up like their ready to help you, but with the younger staff, it feels more like teenagers who would rather not be at work. I noticed that at Dunn Lumber too. The store is so small, you really don't need that much staff standing around.
These clowns just tried to charge me $70 for a blank transponder key. They are $9 or less online. Absolute frauds. I even took the time to call ahead and John told me $3 to copy, never mentioned anything about $70 for the key blade. John lied to my face today and said that $70 is the wholesale price they pay. When I pointed out they are $9 or less online, he handed my key back without apology or explanation. Between the rude treatment at the other Ace Hardware closer to me, and here today, I would never consider returning for any reason.
Helpful staff fill this store, ready to assist you in finding what you need. Selection and prices aren't as good as Home Depot, but supporting a locally owned franchise makes it feel worth it.
Nice assortment of stuff. There must be too much staff because they are constantly interrupting me to ask if I need help. They frantically move around the store like they need more to do. The store also closes at 5PM so I can't even get here on work days.
