I think we were one of the first metals roofs in the Legend Lake area of Keshena Wisconsin in about 2008, and it was installed by American Metal Roofs Co. Ray Farmer sold us this roof and I have to say I wish we had not chosen this shingle style roof, as it's a nightmare to clean. We live in a wooded area, and leaves, dirt, and twigs get caught in the cracks and you could even see small plants starting to grow out of these cracks in the shingles....not good. I wish we had gone with a standard seamed style roof, as you can only stand on this shingled style roof is a very few places, or you will damage the roof. I just paid $800 to have it power washed, and it still looks terrible and the power wash company was not happy either, but it's almost impossible to keep clean if you live in a wooded area.. American Metal Roofs Co. did a nice job on the roof, but I would not suggest this shingled style to other customers if you live near trees, it's a mess.. The pictures are taken two days after it was power washed and it is still a mess...............not good! This roof was over $30,000 and if I could afford it I would replace it, but it's too late now...........so buyer beware!

They set appointments wrong then reschedule only to cancel again. Then tell u that it would cost me 35 to 40 thousand dollars for my roof with their product.. Don't trust this company

The crew did a great job completing our new roof - they were punctual, they were great at cleaning up when the day was done, and they worked very hard to get the job done well and quickly. We couldn't be happier with the crew. The only issue we have is that this winter the snow coming off the roof made 2 of our entrance/exits to the house sometimes unsafe and unusable. We had discussed these locations and were told that they would be able to help direct the snow coming off the roof. Unfortunately, that didn't happen so we're just extra cautious about using the entrances, and try to keep those areas as clear as possible.

First, wed like to apologize for not holding our most recent DIY Seminars. Low participation levels due to Covid-19 and winter weather forced us to cancel those events. In this case we did offer a one-on-one DIY training session - however, we got no response. We sincerely hope that the right solution was discovered for the projects budget etc. As we willingly acknowledge, an American Metal Roof is not for every homeowner. Our goal is when we meet with a potential customer is to help them determine the best roofing solution for their particular situation. In this case, about halfway through our presentation, it was determined that a fully installed metal roof was beyond the budget parameters for the project. Our presentation switched to a DIY option that would bring costs more in line with the projects budget. So, outside of in the inconvenience of the cancelation of our recent DIY events, we believe that we have done everything that we could to provide a workable solution. Were sorry we didnt get to complete our one-on-one DIY presentation which would have better explained the true value of an American Metal Roof. We have hundreds of customers who have gone though our complete sales and installation and DIY process and who have many wonderful things to say about us. We wish we could have added a new satisfied customer in this situation. Our sincere apologies for anything that we may have done to offer a less than satisfactory experience.

Let me start by saying everyone who I talked to was professional. I had an estimate done for my roof and was quoted over 70k for a new roof. I understand a metal roof is more expensive than a traditional asphalt roof. My issue came when I was quoted 30k for the materials and they have a diy course you can take. That means they are charging 40k for labor alone. That is without removing my existing roof. So I wanted to sign up for the DIY class to get a feel for the work and see if I could handle it. One time I tried to register online and I never received a confirmation. The second time I was told the course was not happening the day before. For reference to others I received a quote for a another shingle looking metal roof for 20k less and a replacement asphalt for 25k including labor. Yes these were from a reputable roofing company. You can hear their adds on the radio. If you are looking to waste your money go for it. By the way there is no huge need for aluminum roofing in Wisconsin compared to a correctly coated steel shingle. Dont fall for their sales pitches.
