Pre-COVID times, we could have you wait and "fit you in" . . but now we are only allowing one family in at one time . .so we can space our patients out as a safety precaution for you and other patients. I have been taking two of my boys to Lisa Shimada since 2015. Today I had an appointment for 3 of my boys and I had a misunderstanding on the appointment time. I feel disappointed in the way she took care of this misunderstanding. She got upset and did not speak to me in a proper tone. When Ive been there for previous appointments they have taken longer than I anticipated and never complained and today she was being strict of her 15 minute per patient appointment time. I understand everyones time is valuable but it was a mistake. I know Covid has changed things but she could of managed the situation better. Update: I dont mind rescheduling but I wont. I do not appreciate the tone you spoke to me in. Yet your business card states your caring and comprehensive I say its false advertising.
Dr. Shimada had been our family's optometrist when we lived in La Habra for 15 years. She is the combination of both excellence and personal care. There's always a conversation going with Lisa as you get the feeling that she cares not only about your eyes but about your life (without the appointment going on and on). In addition, I had to return to the LA/OC area to care for a sick family member. When I lost my right contact lens and not knowing what to do 2,000 miles away from home, I called Dr. Shimada. Immediately she knew what to do and the problem was taken care of! It's hard to find someone of her caliber where we live so it's one of the great downsides of moving...
