Hi Iaian, We are sorry to hear that your visit was not satisfactory for you. When your appointment was initially scheduled, we were given Blue Cross information. We did check your coverage with them for your eye exam. It does look like when you were here, you had mentioned that you have another insurance plan called EyeMed. When you gave us that information, we did inform you that we are not providers for that vision plan. For our contact lens patients, the doctor has to perform a yearly evaluation to check the health of the eye and the fit of the contact lenses on the eye. This is done to ensure that the eye is healthy and that the contacts you are currently wearing are still best suited for your eyes. That evaluation is not covered by medical insurance plans because contact lenses are considered elective/cosmetic. A lot of vision insurance plans also do not cover that fee; they typically offer a discounted rate for the fee. Our records indicate that since you have been wearing contact lenses, this evaluation has been done and paid for at the time of your exams. We apologize for any misunderstanding that took place. Please let us know if we can do anything to assist you in any way. Thank you. Apple Valley Eye Care

good expeirence but they wont tell you about your insurance unless you ask, they didnt give me a detailed list of what was covered and what wasnt, i ended up paying out of pocket when if i went in my network it wouldve been free, they waited till the exam was over to say i was charged for contact fitting. ive been wearing contacts for 15 years using this place for 15 years they charge me to tell me i can wear contacts? 15 years, never going back again. 1-800 contacts save you 55$ Edit after response, yea you should inform your customers of EVERYTHING they are being charged for out of pocket. I asked about multiple things if my blue cross blue shield covered it, and it should have made you understand I was trying to go through health care and or eyemed. If you would have told me it would have cost $55 out of network i would've had it done some where else. I've been going to you guys for 15 years and I still did the exam and everything with you guys while asking what was covered through out the exam. I understand Eyemed wasn't covering for the basic eye exam But blue cross blue shield was. You guys need to be clear about the prices up front. State exactly what is covered and what isn't.
If Icould give them a zero I would. Do not go here take your time and money somewhere else. There quality of glass is poor they have scratch resistant for glasses false my son had scratches on them the first day. They then turn around a have you pay more money on a recheck up appointment and you were told there is no charge for that and then magically months later there is. Don't go here stay far away.
They are wonderful! When the doctor knew he was running late, they called to ask me to come in later to avoid a long wait time in the office. Easy to work with and so helpful! Our whole family goes here.
Great experience and Dr. Pat and Mike take time and are thorough! The gals make sure you find glasses you love! Highly recommend Apple Valley Eye Care!
Very rude and pretentious staff and doctors. Never going back
