My daughter who has been professionally diagnosed mentally ill and was charged with something that the police dept investigated and the investigator named never worked for them. My husband took her to court and was approached by a lawyer John landis (represented) by Etoch law firms. Main office based in Helena AR. She at that time was involved in some other legal matters example 2 car wrecks that she was not at fault. I John Landis said exact words I represent hundreds of big rig cases with wrecks and this would be a piece of cake for him. We had her cases at Hendricks law firm. They were always great. And were close to closing one of them. John yold me I would have to call them fire them and have them send everything they had on both wrecks to his office in little rock which I did that very day, My husband and I were told it would be $4,000 for John Landis to represent our daughter on this felony. At that time we just couldnt pay that. John landis said to my husband and I just let me take over the 2 wrecks she has open sign over from Hendrix law firm and that would be payment. Weeks went by no word. We received a bill in the mail. I then called John on the phone. I asked why he was sending us a bill when he my husband and myself had already signed a release for her car cases to be sent to him from brad Hendrix law firm. John then at that time said are you crazy lady? I NEVER AGREED TO ANYTHING OF THE SORT! It was on a Sunday we called and he proceeded to hang up. That Monday my husband got a call from John saying he no longer wanted to speak with me period. Long story short.... worse experience ever. Cases are over. The felony that was bogus still remains on her record and as far as the 3 car accidents he got 67% of her settlement. Way over the $ 4K we were originally told he would charge us. He was manipulative to my husband to say the least using the fact they had both been in the same branch of military in the past. I tried reaching out to the owner with no luck of a call back. With the evidence we had... based on the police report written before her arrest IT WAS OPEN SHUT CASE! There was NO detective of the name mentioned in the report. Which my husband told John Landis over and over again. I cant speak to the form as a whole, bit of this is how they do their clients youre better off representing yourself. Obviously the owner of this law firm cares nothing about his clients. If so he would have returned my call after Id left numerous messages for him because we consulted another lawyer and he was in the wrong. Of course he didnt want to speak with me because I called him out on the fact that he told us you get me the two open car accidents and Ill use that final settlement $4000 as payment. John Landis as a lawyer and a person is a ugly and no where near true to his word. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM! The Mcminn Family
