My wife and I both drive BMW and receive service at Herb Chambers, with different results. While damage of a wheel rim on my car was repaired to my satisfaction, my wifes 540 has had four trips back for unresolved and new problems. The AC was failing to cool on warm days for a while. Arriving home following the latest repair, my wife found two cracks in her windshield on either side. This was repaired at no cost, though we dont know how it occurred. During that repair, the UBS port was damaged and also required repair. Unfortunately, the AC is still blowing hot air on one side; her car is back at the shop.

The actual repairs are good but the communication with the service department is non-existent. I dropped my car off for service on a Tuesday morning and didnt get it back until Friday afternoon. You arent kept informed unless you call and a courtesy car wasnt even offered. The service isnt free and its not cheap, a courtesy call is the least that can be done.

I went in with a single flat tire. I was told the cost to replace would be 400 dollars plus labor. I found the identical tire on TireRack (a great company!) for 250. If they had charged me for the actual cost of the tire plus labor I would have been happy and would probably work with them going forward. I guess I learned not to go to the dealer in the future.
