It's where Oklahoma started. The town and site are 196 years old, it was also involved in the Trail of Tears.

Nice historical site. It is spread out so there is lots of walking. Best time to go is when weather is cooler. Went today when temperature is 98. Cool displays covering the history of Fort Gibson.
