Hi Adele, many thanks for taking the time to review and for your support of our business at this time. Apologies that you were underwhelmed with your meal. Due to the pandemic and the restrictions in place, we have had to restrict our menu to prevent wastage. As a result our menu is a little less fleshed out and our ingredients list a little shorter. We do hope that you will return to us at a later date when we can flesh out the menu a little more and give the chefs a chance to show their flair. Many thanks, Tom's

The service was great. The food was not very exciting. I had the roast dinner, the beef and Yorkshire pudding were lovely but the vegetables were awful. My OH had the Potato hash which he said was lovely. I expected more from here.
Came with friends. Ordered food. Chose the pork chop for myself but it was very very tough...unable to eat it...the mushrooms..2 of...were slimey...served with a small handful of greens. I told the waitress that it was too tough to eat...she said she'd tell the chef but that was it! Wont recommend or come again. Would have appreciated a replacement for my inedible food!!
Firstly, I have to say that the food and service here was fantastic and even the above average prices on the food would not have stopped me from returning to this beautiful old pub. We were not offered a drinks menu but we knew what we wanted so when I got the bill at the end I was horrified. 11 for a glass of wine and 9.50 for prosecco is just too much. When you're paying more for a glass of wine than you would generally pay for a bottle then things have just got silly. Enough profit is made on wine, there is no need to take the p**s. We had a sharing meal, 4 drinks between us and it was the government scheme but we still ended up with a 60 bill for lunch! It's a shame but we won't be returning.
