Mr. Pearson, I'm sorry you feel this way. While many national brands do have an interconnected national network, Smallcakes does not. We are independently owned and operated and don't even have a requirement to use the same POS system. My wife and I work very hard to ensure every customer is welcomed warmly and is treated to a delicious, fresh baked treat. We are disheartened to receive a poor review for something out of our control. If you will call me on my cell phone this week (972-632-9279) I will personally call the Medallion location and see if we can replace your gift card with one from our location. My handicapped son received a Smallcakes gift card recently. He was so excited to use it! We were NOT able to use it at this location because it isn't good here?? Apparently we need to go about 15 miles out if our way for him to use his gift card. Why this barrier for your customers? Dont tell me its because each location is individually owned, because there is easy tech that can address that. I left disappointed and will likely not return, no matter how good the cupcakes are - you have competitors who will accept my business.
These cupcakes are averagenot bad, but definitely not incredible. I wouldn't waste any more money on these cupcakes when I could make something of the same quality at home, but my friend and I were interested to see what the hype was about. The are extremely sweet and there is just too much frosting in proportion to the cake. Also, the "ice cream" is a strange texture and not at all worth the purchase. I literally bent my plastic spoons in half while trying to scoop the ice cream from the cup to my mouth.
Neither did my family or I liked them. They tasted old. Now the ice cream is amazing. That's it. And I spent 50 bucks. Yes I'm upset
