Everything is wildly expensive, certain clothing items i price matched at other stores and they are overcharging, also NO ONE wears a mask even with the mask mamdate in our county, go support a smaller surf shop not these greedy unintelligent dopes. Im going to report them for the lack of masks as well...
We purchased 2 inflatable Hobie Kayaks from here and only used a handful of times.We were filling up with air and the seam broke on 1.We were very bummed and took to a repair specialist 1.5 hours away and they said it wasn't user error they should not separate like that and to call Hobie. Well long story short Curtis the owner of Sandy Point Progressive Sports didn't seem to care and went thru the proper motions with the answer being it was out of warranty and thats normal when you live in Florida?? So don't spend 5 thousand dollars on Hobie Kayaks because they aren't supposed to last more than 2 years?? FYI the Hobie kayaks seams separated before warranty expired we just didn't get it to them before 2 years.
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with our shop. We do our best to answer all customer emails in a timely manner. I see in our system you last emailed us on 9/16 and we replied on 9/18 regarding the issue with your kite. Our records only show one email from you regarding the issue with your kite. Previous to that you emailed us on 4/3 about a different matter.........maybe the email are not coming through. Again, I am sorry you are having trouble with a product you purchased from us. We did respond to your email on how to proceed.

In March 2018 I bought a package consisting of a Takoon Furia of 12M, bar, harness and board. I traveled exclusively to buy my kitesurfing gear. I contacted this store about 2 months earlier to make sure the kite I wanted was available. Well, I made the payment in cash in the store and, since I did not have time to test the equipment, I went back to Brazil and due to the lack of wind, I could only test the kite in July. To my surprise the kite did not stay inflated, withering in 1 hour or less. I thought it was the main valve but that happened at all times. I wrote 3 emails to Mike, who used to answer me by email during the purchase process and, guess what, no response. Since I did not want to spend more money to return or change the equipment, I decided to send it for a review. To my surprise the bladder already had a valve repair! They sold me a defective kite, like it was new! I just did not believe I was fooled by these guys. I have read all the reviews made by other consumers before deciding on this shop. If you are thinking of buying here, be sure to test your equipment before and preferably go with someone else to test. Since I am in another country, I will hardly make another trip just to exchange it. I got a huge financial loss due to these guys and they don't even have the dignity to answer to my emails.
