I am super disappointed in the customer service I received today. I have shopped at this significantly over priced store for the past year as I live around the corner. I shopped here to support a local store during hard times. Between myself and my sister and gift cards, I have spent easily over $1k this year. Last week, I bought a $33 hat for my son (which I can buy at Nordstrom for less); the sizing was way off - I bought a medium for 2-4 year old and he is almost 3 and it was too small. So I came in today to exchange (not return) and they denied me the ability to get a bigger size because the tags were off. Well, how many parents out there wash and remove itchy tags before it goes on the kid expecting the item to fit? I know one of the women really tried to get the exchange done and maybe just eat the cost while the other one just blatantly said no and basically suggested that I should just have my son wear it a certain way to force it to fit...ummm ok....no! No more shopping and ordering from here!

What an adorable place! People are so warm. Had to waste some time while my son played baseball in town. I brought the toddler here to play with the awesome toys available to purchase!
Gretchen, I'd like to extend our apologies for your experience upon trying to visit Pitter Patter. I'm sorry we did not communicate our need to close the store a little earlier than normal due to extenuating circumstances. You are absolutely correct that we should honor the hours of operation that we've posted and we have done that for nearly two years we have been open, except this one time. We were trying our best to prepare the store for our biggest sale of the year the following day and the interior of the store had become nearly impossible to walk through. We were caught in a tough spot and clearly better planning needed to happen. As a small shop, we strive daily to provide a welcoming shopping experience and I'm sorry we failed to do that in this particular instance. I understand your time is valuable and I'm saddened we wasted yours. I hope you'll give us another try and understand we made a mistake in how this was handled. So I first went online and confirmed todays hours at Pitter Patter (Open until 6:00pm). I also called and confirmed the stores hours via their voice message - which also stated Open until 6:00pm. I drove over to pick up a baby gift for a shower Im attending out of town tomorrow and was greeted by a locked door (which also lists the store hours as Open until 6:00pm). The employees inside the store did come to the door to let me know what they decided to close early so that they could get ready for a big sale tomorrow? Are you kidding me? With all that said, instead of inviting me in to quickly pick something out, they grew aggravated with me and eventually said, I guess you can come in. My response was no thank you.
