Kerryn, It is unfortunate that you feel this way. We had placed your order based on the information you provided, as we did not have the particular sample in our showroom that you wanted. I understand you had been back and forth between our store and another and perhaps this added to the miscommunication when you placed your order. We sell materials only and do not provide installation; therefore we always depend on the professional installer to give us the appropriate materials, types, and quantities needed for their specific job. If there were no specifications by your professional at the time of order, you may want to check with him. Additionally, you can find installation requirements and options online if you are not sure. Area Floors sells first quality goods only, and we require our warehouse manager to inspect product upon arrival to our warehouse. Sometimes concealed damaged cannot be detected if it cannot be seen from the outer packaging, and we hoped by supplying you with a free box of product, it would more than cover the minor amount of concealed damage you had.

Absolutely awful. First they ordered the wrong product, then they said we could pick it up early at the warehouse but then the warehouse said no. The transition peices didnt come with a track to install them and they said its our own fault and we have to ask for them (even though later the owner said they should have asked us if we wanted them and when it cane time for reimbursement she changed her mind and said it was our responsibility to ask for the track because some people just glue them down) then more than about 2 boxes worth of product were broken even though the warehouse guy said he inspected it all. Then we had to order more product because so much of it was unusable and they said we could pick it up early at the warehouse abd again that was a lie abd we had to wait for it to get to the lake O office. I talked to the owner about the entire transaction and she SEEMED upset and in disbelieve about all of it and said she would get to the bottom of it. When i hadnt heard anything from her I emailed her and she said she still needed to look into it and would get back to me Monday.... About 4 days after she was suppose to get back to me she finally did and they reimbursed me for one box...and said we needed to ask for the tracks ourselves. She went back on much of what she said in person. The inconsistency from the owner makes me see why her business and employees are inconsistent. Also when we went to get an account they said they can order any product we want (even if its not in the show room) and when we started asking about other products that appeared to be a lie because they said whats in the showroom is all they have...awful experience. Would NEVER go back or recommend them to ANYONE

My wife and I are remodeling our bathroom, and we found the tile of our dreams at Area Floors. We had such a wonderful experience! Dawn was so patient, supportive, and encouraging and helped us feel confident about our decisions. Super responsive, good prices, really cant say enough positive things about this place. I found this business through the internet. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with the Lake Oswego office!. I worked closely with 2 of the three employees. There was poor communication between the two as well as poor communication with me, One, Tanya, ordered the wrong item, wouldn't take responsibility for her mistake was rude on multiple occasions and even hung up the phone on me when I was explain why I was disappointed in the lack of communication and poor customer service. She recommended tile contractors that were unreliable and lacked integrity. Alex Saranchuk stood me up twice for a schedule appt to put my backslash tile in. I understand that the contractors are independent however she highly recommended them. Makes me wonder if she gets a kickback? Would recommend looking elsewhere.
