On May 8, 2017, Mr. Peter Walczak came into our flooring store looking for pricing on a Schluter Shower system for his house in Lemont. Mr. Walczak was not going to use us for the installation of the shower system but had a contractor for the job (it was strictly a cash and carry purchase). When pricing a Schluter Shower system that is not a Standard shower, which is what he described to Tom, it is not straight forward because there are so many parts & pieces that can be used. Tom explained that to Mr. Walczak and sent him the Schluter website link, not for pricing, but for him to figure out what he and his contractor, who was doing the install, wanted to order. Without seeing what was described as a custom shower in person it would have been irresponsible for Tom to give him pricing on a system that was special order and could not be returned. Exploring Flooring is not in the business of just selling customers product that they may, or may not, need and that is what Tom was trying to do with this customer. I can understand Mr. Walczaks frustration with us but we think it is misguided.

Don't waste your time with this store. I cannot even get a quote. I came in to the store, gave them all the measurements and my contact info. Talked to Tom there. Week later, nothing. I email him, the next day he emails me back that he will have the quote ready. Next day he emails me a link to a vendor so I can find out the pricing on my own. What a joke.

Excellent experience w/Tom in the showroom - really helpful w/ our needs (3 little kids, budget, etc). Took a lot of time to answer our questions. Very professional, clean, FAST installation. 100% would recommend + will be back!

Tom and Rob are personable and professional. Their product knowledge makes it obvious that they have been in the flooring business for many years. Frank led a team of installers that showed up on time, had a great attitude and did a perfect job. I would definitely recommend Exploring Flooring.
