Both of my parents are buried in the Powder Springs Cemetery. I have been asking for over 2 years to have decent sod put down over their graves. At one point they did lay dead sod over half the grave. I have heard promise after promise that it will be done. The last I spoke to them over a month ago, the first load of sod they got in they would use it on their graves. Went by today nothing has changed one side is covered with dirt rocks and roots. The other side is all weeds. They talk a good talk but when something needs done it doesnt happen. Perpetual care my foot

They should be ahamed.. My siblings and i lost our mother when we were just babies...We could not afford a headstone.. The flowers we placed were ripped up....my mother and no one their deserves to be treated like this

We have several family members and friends buried there. The grounds are always well kept and clean. Considering the reasons for being there and as sad as they are, I think it's kinda calming. The lake, and the geese with the gazebo along with the clean flowing colors covering the grounds has a peaceful effect.

I hardly ever do these reviews but I am at my wits end. My husband passed away very unexpectedly on Dec 1 2020. Because my mother and other family was buried here I purchased plots for my husband and myself. My initial meeting with Rosanna was great. I felt I had been heard and would be taken care of. Fast forward to more than 6 months since he was laid to rest and we still do not have his marker. I have called and texted with Sunrise since the end of January and keep getting conflicting information. In early February I was told they needed more details for the engraving which I immediately provided. Then was told normal time is 120 days. But they did not even get a rendering for approval to me until March 2021 after numerous inquiries. Mid May I was told that it would be going to sandblasting and should be maybe another week or two. Now today June 8th I am once again being told that it will be cut and then go to sandblasting and it will be another 2-3 weeks. His plot looks horrible and is nothing but dirt and rocks and my sons and I are sick and tired of having to see this each time we go. I am wanting to find out who owns this business if anyone can help me find that out.
