We had this company "Design" and sell us a solar system that would cover our energy bill. After installation, we found the system didn't produce anywhere near the projected output. Many complaints were made with a terrible lag time. Typically 2 weeks or greater. We live in the Bay Area and found out too late that Future Visions solar install team are all from southern CA. That explains that. We thought we were doing business locally. What a mistake. Since the production was so bad and Future Vision claimed the system was working well, we hired a third party solar company to inspect the system. A $300.00 service. They found many issues like broken tiles, panels not installed to code and bad wiring. The third party solar company made the electrical repairs that Future solar vision couldn't even detect. After a long discussion with the third party solar inspector, we found that we overpaid for our system. He offered the same system for $6K less. I was willing to pay extra for superior service and installation, but that didn't happen. More complaints were made to FV. Future vision agreed to pay us for the money lost in months of our energy bill along with the $300.00 service charge to hire an outside company to expose their errors. They have not reimbursed us. It's been 8 months of dealing with these guys and the problems they created and the regret is huge. We ordered a 5 star steak dinner and received a cold hot dog with nothing on it.

Our 6-7 week project is into month 6, and we still do not have a clear estimate as to when they will be finished. I feel like once they collected most of the money on the project, they lost interest in completing it. In addition, our project manager is a joke. My husband is doing most of the project management and has had to point out some shoddy workmanship such that it would be corrected.

Future Vision exceeded all our expectations. We found them on Yelp after searching for a general contractor and called for a quote. The next day we met with our project manager Tamir to discuss the project and get an estimate for our kitchen remodel. After receiving the quote we decided to proceed with the remodel, we went into the fvr showroom looking for ideas and saw a beautiful white on white design that really caught our attention. We instilled our trust in Tamir and were so happy we did, he made a promise that he wouldnt let us down and he stood by it. We really appreciate the effort and detail put into our remodel. It was obvious from the get go that you guys really cared about doing the job right, weve had some problems with general contractors in the past but we found our new go to. Thanks a lot fvr!

We were trying to add a bathroom. We talked to a few contractors, including Future Vision. We used them, briefly. We're now in arbitration with them -- it's pretty clear that other bad reviews aren't here because most people have signed a non-disparagement agreement and can't talk about what happened. At first we loved talking to Shawn, who seemed to understand our needs, promised that they don't use any subcontractors, and seemed really smooth. They were close to twice the bid of some of the other contractors but we thought, why not go for somebody really good? We were wrong. For starters, check their license. They *have* to use subcontractors for things like plumbing. They're not licensed to do it, but they lie about that. Instead, they picked up guys who had never even met the project guy (we asked) and were obviously just chosen for the day -- different guys every day. They didn't show up many hours, or when they agreed to, and some of the work was really awful. They failed to match the pitch or material of the existing roof. The bad pitch just looks funny, but using torch-on material attached to tar and gravel means the roof would always leak. After we hired an independent inspector to point this out they finally decided that the wrong roof material was "temporary." They also had to get an engineering letter for screwing up the pitch (it didn't match the plans,) and it took them four months to do it. When they finally got it, it *still* didn't match the plans. And they wouldn't just fix the pitch -- they said they'd fix whatever we wanted, but they argued constantly *not* to match the pitch of the roof, and just stonewalled whenever we asked. Before that, we had big obvious leaks. They had cut away far too much of the old roof and patched it badly. So badly that there was a large area on the roof where water just pooled and sat, but there were also big visible leaks. We're lucky it rained so we could get video of it, I guess? Shawn repeatedly said there was no problem if we'd only listen to him. Ruben, the project lead, said they'd patch it with plaster and stucco (seriously, no.) And this was all before they ever did any of the interior stuff! We were just lucky the screwed up the roof so badly before they tore out our toilet, or we'd have been using a Port-a-potty for six months now! It was months before we were sure we were legally allowed to hire a different contractor to fix their work! The worst was when Shawn came over to put his hand on my wife's shoulder -- after everybody else had left, naturally, and after she had told him repeatedly not to touch her. She made sure to never be around him alone again after that. Unfortunately, we signed their agreement to use arbitration. Don't. Our lawyer is *still* trying to get our money back, many months and several independent inspections later. Arbitration generally means a non-disparagement agreement so you can't give them a bad review like this. We skipped that, and we're basically paying an extra $2000 to be able to badmouth them. It seems worth it.
