Jess, we are very sorry about the confusion. $.50 per pound plate (instead of per lb) is not realistic and not fully communicating that was our fault. Weights are always sold by the pound. Most people are delighted with our prices. With you, there seems to have simply been some miscommunication and this was our fault. To be clear, we currently have the lowest prices you can find anywhere. We do currently have pound plates (and just metric) for .50 per lb and $1 per lb. You can not find (virgin rubber or crumb) bumper plates on amazon or anywhere else for .50 per lb or $1 per lb. We have them. Also $99 barbells, etc. We are getting hundreds of messages right now and most people are excited at the great pricing. We are just a locally owned small business trying to pay the rent while we were shut down. We sold equipment to survive the pandemic shutdowns. Now, we are trying to get rid of it because we would like to focus on our classes. Which is why we have products 50-80% off our original pricing. EVERYTHING MUST GO is correct because we want our gym back. We don't want to be a discount equipment warehouse anymore. We are hoping not to go out of business, and never claimed that we are, but we we are still trying to figure out this new world and just trying to pivot back to our world class classes. Please send an email to [email protected] with your contact information and we will do our best to make it up to you. Thanks for supporting locally owned small business.

These guys put deceptive advertisements on Facebook Marketplace that say things like "Evrything must go!" and "Kettlebell for $1, plates for $0.50", but they are not going out of the business and the prices are $1 and $0.50 *per pound*...for metric plates! Just standard mediocre equipment for the same price you can get on Amazon. EDIT in response to reply below: (1) Items can be *deeply* discounted when companies go out of business and must vacate a location quickly. It is not reasonable to expect buyers to know the actually listed prices are "unrealistic". (2) Clearing out a subset of a business's inventory to make room for new equipment is not the same thing as everything needing to go. Does anyone seriously doubt that this exaggerating language was picked accidentally?
This is a review for the adult jiu jitsu classes. I joined last month. I'll update later as I get more impressions. Facilities -- Bright, well lit and large exercise area. There's a play area for kids while their parents are training. The bathrooms are clean. No showers. Very welcoming vibe -- feels modern and professional. Instruction -- The jiu jitsu classes are instruction on technique then you practice the technique with a partner while the instructor walks around and observes, then more techniques are shown (usually variations, next steps on the technique). At the end people roll (spar). There is no standard warmup routine which could be a minus for some people but also serves as a plus in that if you show up a couple minutes late its easy to transition into your class. While I've only done jiu jitsu they have a really wide variety of classes at a lot of different times. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. Cost Structure -- Monthly and if you buy a year long package you can get a further discount. They don't tend to favor drop in class arrangements (pay per pack). Cost-wise about the same as other BJJ and martial arts gyms I've seen. Atmosphere -- The atmosphere is very positive here. The people are all very nice that I've worked out with and the instructors are friendly. I've also seen a very wide variety of people working out of different fitness levels and ages, which indicates to me that its a pretty welcoming environment, which is remarkable I think given the nature of the things taught there -- kickboxing, BJJ, kettlebell/functional fitness type workouts -- can seem a little imposing..
