Be Very Afraid! Eastbay Screen Printing will send you a mock up proof for approval, but just because the proof looks good, doesnt mean the print will match. I brought in my own t-shirts, already paid for because I had the neck label re-labelled with my own label design. I sent them a simple three-solid-color design in February of 2022, and I thought I was assured of a good job when they sent a proof how the design would look once printed. Well they botched it big time. On my design based on the American flag, I layered my red and white blocks of color (the stripes) under my blue block of color (with stars). When they printed it, the blue block of color was underneath the white stripes, giving what was supposed to be a solid blue line a jagged edge where the blue is supposed to meet the stripes. Somehow, they failed at different levels again, the design was based on the American flag: red white and blue. Who doesnt know how the American flag is supposed to look? Have you ever seen an American flag that has a jagged edge where the stripes meets the blue? No! And somehow they kept printing this! How can you depend on a printer without an eye for detail? Granted, I asked them to print two colorways of this design. They got one colorway right, but didnt get the traditional red, white and blue design right. After I requested a refund for loss of material cost (the shirts, the labels and the re-labeling service), Sean Ross (owner/mgr?) pointed out their terms of service, which said they werent monetarily responsible for my loss. In essence, those terms mean that mistakes by East Bay Screenprinting will cost the customer. In looking at terms and conditions of other screen printers, these terms are fairly unique to East Bay Screenprining, as they will not claim responsibility for the cost of shirts, even though its their fault. They did refund the printing cost, but not the loss for the cost of t-shirts, the labels, and the re-labeling service. When I told Sean I would write a review of what happened, Sean threatened me with trying to extort them, and would sic his lawyer on me for trying to claim a refund of the shirts they ruined. This is the treatment I got from them since being a customer since 2013, doing a handful of jobs. Again, be very afraid. They dont stand by the work they do their mistakes will cost you.

Our business has used the screen printer for several years because they are local, were reasonably priced, and used to be responsive. Something major changed! We have worked with a couple of different sales reps and their online system which drops your artwork onto a T-shirt so you can see what it will look like just like every other online T-shirt company and just a few weeks ago we processed a re-order and received it perfectly. But when we tried last week and today to order new T-shirts with a new design the owner who we have never worked with before made it as difficult as possible and tried to charge us $500 to change the size of the artwork for the small child size shirts. This is after making us pre-pay before we could receive a mock up even though the mock up is not a real shirt, it is an online image with art put on top of itWe placed two orders of two different shirts and had to pay for them before they would show us what the shirts would look like. When they tried to charge us $500 to size the art down for smaller sized shirts we asked if we could just cancel the smaller size shirts then and continue with the adult shirt order. Instead of doing that they canceled both of our orders and told us they would only refund us part of the amount since they had done work on our art. We are in disbelief that a company could treat a repeat client with consistent order history the way they have treated us this past week. Whatever happened at this company, if they have a new owner now or are just not interested in doing business anymore please be forewarned that they dont seem to take any interest in providing their products to customers.
