Edit: a couple weeks after the fact, owner sent a total refund for our trip. They apparently took care of the problem engaging professional to treat totally the cabin. Refer to recent review to check out, they have other cabins too. ****************************************************************** (Priscilla by the fall) Nice looking cabin with basics, minimum in kitchen but expected. Last Friday evening started well, broken cover on hot tub but nice (kind of difficult to put it back after relaxing). Kids on the futon, we climbed in bedroom where we already put our luggages and discovered a bunch of bedbugs crowding on the bed... No services, midnight and cold outside... Cannot leave. We checked downstairs and seems fine... One on the sofa, one on the floor without blankets and extra clothes because we isolated our luggages that were on the bed in trash bag. We left in the morning after bagging clothes to try to contain them. We left a note explaining and asking refund (we were planned to stay an extra night and we did not really slept...). After finding services, we tried calling and found full voicemail and sent an email telling them we left and explaining situation (it is rented all this week). Driving home without sleep, took time wash and dry all at high temperature (bombing car).... So a nice Sunday cleaning and still no news from them. Sent an additional email attaching picture and advices to treat. That may not be their fault if bedbugs are here and if they clean during the day, bedbugs are generally not visible. But there was some from all life stage, minimum hatching period is 3 weeks at 80F... So they are infested since at least a month and after a letter and two email they did not contacted us back... 3 days now.... And I am almost sure they did not cancel next customers who are certainly now sleeping in the middle of them. There is plenty of cabins similar in size, amenity and price... Customers service make all the difference in good or bad. Bad for them.
Tried to reach the managers before the trip. No answer to my email. I tried calling. Voicemail was full so I couldn't leave a message. When we arrived we found that the cabin, which was supposed sleep 3 - 4, had one couch. There was no hot water. Without cell service, we waited until the next day to go looking for the address on the website. Could not find it. A convenience store clerk tried to call for us and got the full voicemail box. The bugs and the wasps that came in the window were a minor inconvenience by comparison. I left a note requesting that management contact me immediately. My charge card has been charged in full and I still haven't heard a word from them. i notice now the website says it sleeps 2 max -- and is a lower price. You couldn't make me feel worse. Stay away from this place.
This place is tranquil. Absolutely amazing. The only downfall is that there is no internet and no cell service. We didn't really mind it so much, but some can't live without it. Lol. We had the A-frame cabin, and it was clean and ready to live in for our excursion. Very quiet. Loved it!!!!
Have not even stayed here yet!! My reservation is in June but I CAN NOT contact anyone by phone or email! No money has been taken for my deposit and still have not received a follow up confirmation by email. I called just to confirm everything was good and to see when my deposit would be withdrawaled BUT I can't.....NO ANSWER FROM SHARON, who's email is posted and is on the voice-mail. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
