Merlynn, We are sorry you feel that way. We understand that you are unhappy, which is why we canceled your contract. It wasn't about communication, it was about how you and your husband treated our employees and disrupted the process. We communicated well. We even replaced a Construction Manager who was frustrated with your interference. The second Construction Manager met you on Saturdays to try and appease and ultimately you cursed at him and tried to manage the process for us. If you had allowed the process to work and for your home to reach completion, your home would have been beautiful. Instead you chose to be disrespectful, which ultimately led to us canceling your contract. Any pictures you provide are of an incomplete home. Its unfortunate that you choose to leave only 1/2 of the story on here. We certainly hope you find happiness and a home that you enjoy.

Terrible communication. Poor project management. Unprofessional. Quality is so-so for high end home. Response to owner: guess asking questions about the process and pointing out what you want fixed is considered as maltreatment and disruption? Pictures are worth a thousand words. We are glad you pulled the contract. We would rather have our money back. Thank you. Update: I am truly sorry that you feel that way. Because, asking questions about the process and asking for things to be fixed is apparently not part of the process. We know the difference now; it was our first time building a home and wish we had better experience. There was never any interference. It's also sad to see you lie on a public page. I suppose I did leave half the story. So here's the other half of the story - your construction manager has cursed and rough in foreman cursed at my husband and he never complained about it but, when he finally gives it back, your company can't handle it. He never cursed AT your construction mgr - he simply cursed in a conversation venting out frustration regarding the hardwood floor (see pic). We will wash our hands of JECH. Let's be both glad we are out of each other's hair. I wish you fair well and your clients happy. I will add this - you do have good liaisons working with you -- we liked your vendors - Factory Direct/Ferguson Lighting, Total Design and Gallery Design. They were awesome!
Updated 2/2/21 Bri, Thank you for allowing us in your home. As discussed, shrinkage in wood trim and drywall can occur during the winter months. It will be increased if humidity levels in the home are not maintained. During our review, we saw that your humidity was 21% this morning. A reasonable level for a day like today would be 35% and could range from 30-45% depending on allergies and comfort levels. We also noticed that the water to your humidifier was mostly turned off and we opened it up all of the way for you. Nail pops will be more prevalent due to the humidity but as you mentioned, the few that you had were located under a TV you mounted. The added stressor, combined with the low humidity probably increased the likelihood of them showing up. taking a nail, cleaning them out, touching them up with drywall and then paint is the remedy. The perimeter of drywall sheets are nailed in spots to get the sheets hung, then they screw in the field. The entire sheet is not nailed. I am attaching a link from Lennox in humidity and indoor air quality as well. If you don't see levels increasing by 2/2/21, please let us or the company that does your HVAC maintenance know. https://www.lennox.com/lennox-life/comfort-matters/air-quality-issues/regulating-humidity-levels-can-help-protect-your-health-home-and-comfort We also noticed that the soil around your home has settled quite a bit. This is common in homes in the first couple of years. Dirt or some sort of fill should be put around the foundation to create a positive slope away from the home. The current negative slope could allow water to enter the home. Since you want to finish your lower level, you will want to address this as well. I use a mulch landscaping bed around my home. Thanks again for allowing us a chance to take a look at your home. We see no concerns over quality, workmanship or long lasting impacts on your home, just a little maintenance. Bri, We pride ourselves in returning messages so can you tell me what number you called, please? We certainly apologize Did you have a home inspection when you purchased the home? If these items are just now arising after 4 years, it sounds like your humidifier may not be working properly. Caulk is used but dries out over time, especially when temperatures get cold. The same thing happens to drywall of humidity levels arent maintained. Regarding your concerns, the home is not under warranty but we would be happy to look at it and either address items if there is an issue or explain homeowner maintenance if that is what is needed. We recently bought a James Engle home built in 2017 and love the design. Only design weve found with large bedrooms. We are concerned with some caulking and drywall issues but they connected with us to come check out. Will update with that info.
Since this is a fake name, Google should remove this.
