Chris, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. Due to the current market climate and rising gas prices values can fluctuate wildly and by thousands of dollars. We are sorry if you are not happy with the amount we were able to offer.

In 15 years of buying/trading vehicles, I've never been met with such an unprofessional and inconsiderate response from a dealership as I did from Green's Toyota of Lexington today. Working for ten years in finance (three of those years recently at a dealership in a management position), I've got a good grasp on the market and procedures for structuring a car deal. I reached out concerning a trade for a vehicle with a similar value as mine. I offered my 2021 Tundra in trade ($3,500 higher retail value compared to their 2019 Sequoia, according to NADA, $2,000 less valuable in trade value, according to KBB, $5,900 less valuable according to Manheim auction transactions). Realizing they're in the business of making money, I expected them to come back with a trade difference of $6,000 or less. I wouldn't trade for that amount, but I also wouldn't have been offended. The salesperson, Tony Dawson, obtained photos of my truck (which has fewer than 12k miles, compared to their vehicle with 53k miles). I purchased this truck brand new and it has zero damage or issues. After convening with his manager, this was their reply to my inquiry: "$15,428.90 diff plus your pay off." This is a laughable response, which is exactly what I did. It is such an unrealistic assessment, considering they have the same truck on their lot (with higher mileage) listed for sale at $51,995. They essentially offered me $40k in trade value for a truck with a current trade value of $54,150 (NADA) and $47,065 (KBB). My reply: "Haha. Have a nice day." I knew this deal was dead in the water, but the salesperson sarcastically replies with: "You should sell your truck or get dealers license" The lack of professionalism and courtesy from both the manager structuring the deal and the salesperson relaying the message ensured that I will NEVER reach out to Green's about a vehicle again. I would advise you to do the same.

Ollie was great to work with. Had wonderful customer service and sales skills to make the process as easy as possible. He got us in and out fast and hassle free in our new 2022 Tacoma. Will be returning to work with him for all future purchases. If you are in the market ask for Ollie!

Even during the chaos of the COVID19 Lexington was experiencing, they welcomed me and we treating me as a valued customer. Even though I didnt have a scheduled appointment, they still were able to get my car in. Great job Greens!

Will, thank you for taking the time to leave us your thoughts on your visit with us yesterday. Yes, we do have a diagnostic charge when we have to look at a vehicle in order to estimate a repair (as would any business), and I am sorry that you feel it is too much, I also apologize for any confusion in communication during your visit. Feel free to call me Dwight Couch at 859-422-7315 or email me at [email protected] if there is anything you would like to discuss. **Response** I spoke with the advisor he stated that it was discussed, however, we have spoken with all our staff today and will ensure that this is clarified to avoid more confusion in the future. 859-422-7315 is a direct line to my desk and has a voicemail set up, if you ever need anything in the future please feel free to reach out to me, again my name is Dwight Couch Experience Manager with Green's Toyota. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us a review of your experience here with us as it always gives us a chance to reflect and evaluate.

*Response to owners comment: Thanks for letting me know about the diagnostic charge. All Im saying is that it would have been nice to know about that charge and the amount before the service was performed. There was no confusion in communicationthere just simply was no communication regarding the charge. Like I said, Im happy to pay what I owe, I just think customers should be given a heads-up as to what that will be before a service is performed. Thanks for your number. I tried calling with no response and no way to leave a voicemail.* I have to be honest with you, after leaving Green's Toyota I have that slightly nauseous, sort of damp feeling you get after leaving the home of a catfish you met on craigslist. (We've all been there, right?) Anyway, look, I have no problem donating my hard-earned money to a struggling multi-national corporation like Toyota, but at least give me a heads-up that an estimate to replace a couple of lock actuators will cost me $100. I just feel like that's the honest, decent thing to do, right? It's kind of like if you used a restroom and then came out of that restroom to find a man in a stylish Toyota Polo smiling at you and telling you that you now owe $100 for the privilege of using that toilet. It was a perfectly nice toilet, and the man is a perfectly nice Toyota employee, and he's wearing a perfectly nice Toyota Polo, but you were completely unaware that you just took a $100 tinkle. Now I don't have an MBA, so take this recommendation with a grain of salt, but I do think you should let customers know what the charge will be before a service is performed. Two stars for the nice toilet (which I did, in fact, use), zero for feeling catfished by Green's Toyota.
