As I let you know when I called you and left you a voicemail early on to apologize and let you know that we're in this together, we are very sorry the freight company lost your gear. That is not normal and it did not meet our expectations. I wish you would have returned my call when I called you to discuss a plan of action. We provided you a full refund and all the refund transaction details in a timely fashion in writing. I am sorry your credit card company has taken awhile to post the refund we issued to your account. Do not recommend using this store, even if it will be your last option! I bought a windsurf board from that store. #1 problem - Ridiculously slow shipping: estimated shipping through their Pilot freight service was almost a month long. #2 problem - tried to contact the store to change the shipping, no response from the store. #3 After waiting for a month, I did not get a board. They lost it. Of course no one did bother to even contact me and update about the problem with shipping. #4 Problem - took me several days to get any reply from the store. No apology whatsoever, asked me to wait even more (after waiting for a month already). #5 Problem - asked for a refund. No reply from the store for several days. #6 problem - the store told me that they have refunded the money. Now 10 days later, still no refund on my card. #7 Problem - staff is rude enough to tell me that it is my problem that I did not receive a refund, their internal systems show that it is all good on their side.#8 problem - disputed the transaction with my bank. Now I have to wait to get my 2k back. That is the result of spending 2 months of my time interacting with the worst customer service in this industry I even have experienced.
Have been purchasing windsurfing equipment online from Isthmus for a couple of years and never disappointed. Their shop is well stocked and if they do not have it, they can get it fast. Pat and Jon are Knowledgable, friendly folks.
Very helpful staff, I am a 'beginner' windsurfer and had not much knowledge of what to buy - after a couple of days of intense discussion over email got myself a board/rig set good for me and for my daughter (one board, 2 sails). Was planing yesterday in rather light wind with 6.7m2 sail (~12 mph with gusts to ~25) for the first time (cool!!!)- could never get planing on those rented boards in mexico. And no tax when selling to Indiana, plus shipping credit, so it the total with shipping is probably even cheaper than buying with tax and no shipping in WI. Got it in few days after purchasing. Prices are very competitive, great tutorial videos for setting up the board and rig.
Decided to get back into windsurfing after a long hiatus. The technology has changed so much, my head was spinning in trying to find a package that was right. Reached out to Isthmus for help. Jon spent over an hour with me selecting the right board, sail, boom, mast, etc. Put a fantastic package together for me. Post purchase, Jon has helped to make sure I am rigging the sail right, answering any questions I might have. Awesome advice, awesome post-sale customer service. They make sure that you have a great experience, get the right equipment and follow through with the best customer service I have experienced from any online experience. I recommend them without reservation.
