We apologized over and over again and we did all we could to help when she had the reaction. Our staff was extremely concerned and was trying to be as helpful as possible. The tearoom was empty but the staff however was very busy preparing for a big party later in the day. We do all we can to accommodate as many people and allergies as we possibly can but we also information everyone especially peanut allergies we can not guarantee anything. When the reservation was made we were told no raw vegetables as the only allergy. Once the server whom it was her 2nd day told the kitchen staff we had a senior member of the staff come out and listen and note each allergy. Unfortunately we are very short staffed and all the staff is relatively all new. When the server took the desserts for your final course as usually procedure she was unaware of the ingredients of a seasonal dessert and included that on your plate. We pride ourselves on providing top notch customer service and products sometimes things unfortunately happen and we are just happy that the situation wasn't worse. We apologize again and do hope she is still feeling ok.

Im sad to have to review this place so negatively. Service wasnt great and the food was average, but our server was pleasant and kind. If that were the only issues my family and I faced, it wouldnt have been that big of a deal and I wouldnt be writing this review. HOWEVER, when we got to the tea room, we informed our server of our allergies. Someone else came out afterward (maybe the manager or owner?) to write down the list of allergies. She brushed off the first two completely (pineapple and coconut) and made it seem like they dont serve those things at her restaurant. The high tea was fine (average at best), and when the desserts came out, the server put down a small variety of pastries on our table. The first thing my sister bit into contained coconut. She immediately began to have an allergic reaction (tongue swelling, lips numb, throat closing, skin itchy). The server and the other woman came over and basically said something along the lines of, sorry that happened but we dont know what the chef in the kitchen puts in the food she makes. She puts it on the plate and we just bring it out. ............. Im baffled over this incredibly huge and dangerous oversight, especially since we told them our allergies more than once and we were the ONLY table in the entire restaurant so its not like this place was packed. The restaurant comped my sisters meal only when my husband asked. If he didnt ask, they wouldnt have done anything at all to try to make amends for this dangerous situation they caused. At the very least, they should have comped the entire meal for this awful circumstance even though that still wouldnt have been good enough. A mistake like this is completely unacceptable. Thankfully her allergic reaction didnt land her in the hospital this time, as it has many times in the past.

The ambience in the cake shoppe is really enticing. Sweets and treats are very attractive. Since it was our first time, we ordered 2 cupcakes to go- peanut butter cupcake and cherry cheesecake cupcake. They were both delicious and definitely coming back to try the other cakes.
We are very sorry we are extremely busy and extremely short handed. We have been doing our very very best. We have been working 7 days a week 16 to 17 hours a day. We have asked everyone to be patience and we will get back to everyone usally on Monday's after the crazy of the weekends with wedding season in full gear. Our goal is to give everyone the best products and services and we are sorry that it may take a bit longer right now then our usually turn around time. I do hope you will still want to order. I have looked at your pics you sent and we would love to create the tower for you!

I called multiple times to confirm an order for my dads retirement and was blown off every time I get its a busy time of year but to not get any confirmation is very frustrating. I was really looking forward to trying them out but after this treatment I won't be trying to order for them again.
