I have eaten at this place a few times in the past, since I work in the area. As I was sitting waiting for my order, I noticed a small roach walking past me. Now I understand that this is NYC which is known to have issues with roaches and other rodents, so ignored it. It was also by the door, so I assumed that it came from outside. Fast forward, she brings my food, and I pay for it an leave. As I started to eat it, I noticed something that looked grossly familiar, like the foot of a bug, most likely a roach foot. I immediately stopped eating it, and examined it, showed it to my colleagues, and everyone agreed that I should take it back and that it did look like a roach foot. SMH!!!! When I took it back, she took the container that i had eaten from , and the other one which I had not eaten from, and asked "did you touch this one?", and I replied "no" I am pretty sure she will simply store it somewhere to reserve it to another customer. I also opened that container to check if there were other similar "things" in there...but did not touch the food. I think its odd that she did not argue with me about it, and just agreed to give me a refund. I also thought it was weird that she took the other untouched container and put it away. All i am saying to you guys is to eat there at your own risk!! Just sooo grossed out! Never will I ever eat there again.
Not a fan of leaving reviews but they messed up Rice. Not to mention the steamed dumplings were practically raw. Got a stiff vibe from the staff when I walked in- shouldve followed my gut and cancelled my pick up order. May have been a bad night, either way- not a good first impression.
My food was tasty. The price was NYC inexpensive (ie: not cheap, but NYC). The space was clean and comfortable- small. One bathroom with a fabulous sign (don't flush x, y, z, cell phones, w, r, kittens down the toilet)GREAT!. Coat hooks on the wall on one side only - so your stuff might get moved.
