In about ti go elsewhere. I have something on my eye and need an appointment asap. I cant sign in bc my account is locked bc i need to change my pw, so it says. I call the office but cant get past the auto messages. Meanwhile my eye hurts, literally hurts. If i leave a vm on your system and get a callback, the call goes to scam bc - get this - my phone only allows calls from #s in my directory! But you dont call me from your bus #; u use another line. Ive tried to change my phone setting but havent found out how. And i dont really want to bc i dont want calls from solicitors.

Clear communication is important to us. The balance between too many and too few appointment reminders is a challenge. When we do not hear back, we employ wonderful humans who make at least two contacts in the days before an an appointment. We are clear that if we do not hear back, the appointment will be offered to someone on our waitlist. Despite our sincerest efforts, these calls, texts, and emails can be missed. That disappoints us, but we are always considering ways to improve.

This place has gotten progressively worse. Have now had an optamologist catch an attitude with me, and had a appointment canceled on me without notice. You guys used to be great, but that customer service treatment in unacceptable, do better.

Thanks to Sarah for sharing this amazing eye place. Best eye exam ever!! Dr Brian took the time to make sure I was in the best fitting contacts with challenging eyes! I felt in good hands from the moment Alyssia greeted me when I came through the door, until I left. Emily and Emerald were both very helpful. I was impressed with the explanation of what was going on and the professionalism. COVID continues to hamper the ability to deliver some lenses timely as manufacturing and shipping are constrained worldwide. While we communicate this and we have all experienced these delays personally, we regularly refine our processes so that expectations are better set and better met.

I dont like writing critical reviews but my experience here was disappointing. (Apologies for the long review.) First - there was a lot to like about The Eye Place: the online scheduling was easy, their Covid protocols felt very safe, and Dr. Bowman was great! I made an appointment for The Eye Place because my contact rx was expiring. I was happy with my previous rx but hoping to find a comfortable toric lens for a slight astigmatism. The tech who was at reception wasnt very welcoming but she warmed up as she got the exam room set up and medical history done. Enter Dr. Bowman. She was very friendly and I had the most thorough eye exam Ive probably ever had. She was really patient, friendly, and accommodating with making tweaks to my high prescription. During my exam, a woman entered our room (mind you Im sitting there blind) and just stood there. She didnt introduce herself and didnt say anything - except to the doctor, Are you almost done? No - were in the middle of an exam. She just stayed there the rest of my exam. It was the end of the day so I figured she wanted to go home, but it was SO WEIRD. After my exam, Dr. Bowman introduces the lady as the person who will be finishing up my paperwork where they sell their glasses. Turns out my toric lenses didnt fit, so they had to order a trial pair. Ok! Up to 11 business days...ouch. I let her know I was running out of contacts and she told me to just wear my glasses. I have glasses for emergencies but Ive been wearing contacts for 20 years. She didnt offer any solutions - she wasnt nice, she didnt check with the doctor about trials in another brand (or my original rx), empathy, anything. Oh well. It is what it is. Bowman was great, maybe this lady is just having a bad day? 21 days later I get the call that my trial lenses have arrived. Woo! (Finally.) Im nervous that the new rx might not work or the toric lenses might not fit again, but excited. Whens the earliest I can come try them on? 15 days later. To try them on. Granted IF they fit, Ill have another 3 week turnaround and if they dont fit... The lady on the phone offered NO solutions (and again no empathy) to a best case scenario of being out of contacts for EIGHT+ WEEKS. What happens when you switch between non-toric lenses and astigmatism-glasses all the time? Massive headaches. I was about to cry. I finally ask if she can ask the doctor if she can just approve my previous rx so I can order contacts independently again. She says shell ask but the doctor might not approve it until after the weekend. I DID receive a callback that night saying the doctor approved my previous rx and that I could come pick it up. I understand mail is slow with Covid. I understand that I have a weird, high prescription. But they were not nice, not helpful, and completely unsympathetic. TDLR: Dr. Bowman was great! Other staff was really unhelpful and unfriendly.
