My wife and I went to the Christmas store side of the business. The selection was good for the size of the store, but the prices were very high.

The staff told us that you are in a cave with a lantern mining with a Picax but you are actually just in a pit hitting rocks with a hammer. We found a very rare rock that we could sell for quite alot. But then we go back to their office and they dont let us keep it. Keep in mind at the beginning they said we kee everything we find. Not happy with the service.

Great place to get gems!! Little expensive but that's expected. They even make jewelry out of your gems.

Its a very cute place. Having driven past it several times to and from our cabin, my husband relented and stopped so I could pop inside to do some shopping. In my excitement, I initially walked without my mask and I rectified immediately. There were two women talking at the counter. One behind the counter and one who I dont know was a customer or just a friend. A man was taking care of a family of tourists so I made my way around to look at their pieces. They were very nice pieces and was going to ask for some help so I walked to the other side to look at another selection of pieces where the two ladies were socializing. I was ignored by and decided it wasnt worth my business. The parking lot is always full so Im sure the other activities keep the business thriving and one less customer doesnt make a difference. this was the only not completely positive experience I had in NC. Im sure it was an off day.
