Bought a 10x16 jaw crusher to add to our rock crushing operations. Crusher was sold as a crushing size of 1-3 with a 5-20 ton per hour. 3minus is what we were needing. These size and rates are on their website and was confirmed with folks at their plant. Cant get anything close to 3. 1 maybe 2 is all itll crush. Rep from company said that it cant make 3 and theres nothing to change it without grinding off part of the toggle plate but would need to be taking all apart. Call after call to them trying to get it resolved and 2 months later, still nothing and now cant get a person to answer phone, reply back to text, nothing. Paid over 24k for the crusher head and another 25k in hauling and construction cost and its setting back here on the ground. Hoping this has a good outcome and can be resolved for 1 Im not loosing 25k on a structure designed for this and 2 to change my opinion and review of the company.
Hello Philipp. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As you know man-made quartz countertops are extremely abrasive. Our jaw dies are cast manganese steel (11-13% Mn) and are the industry standard steel for jaw dies and wear parts on these types of crushers. I am curious how many tons of material you crushed before needing to flip the plates? Our data shows that most of our crushers cost less than $1.00 per ton crushing costs for maintenance and wear parts. If you are crushing somewhere in the 2500-5000 tons per set of plates this would be a common wear rate for our machines. Please let us know if you are significantly outside this range. I would also like to know more about your welding solution. We have had customers try in the past to hard face their plates with little success. Were you able to hard-face our plates? If so what was the cost to do so? If so please share your solution so we can pass it on to other customers who may have opportunities to reduce the cost of their crushing operation. With your new welded solution do you have an estimate on the wear rates compared to our standard plates? If you have a better solution for the wear plates on these crushers please share your knowledge as we are constantly looking for ways to improve our machines and customers costs while operating. Thank you again for the information and comment. We look forward to hearing from you in the future.

I purchased a 6x30 slab crusher. Its a great machine, engine works great. Crushes stone like a dream. My main issue is with the Jaw plates. They are incredibly weak. After 2 months, one side was completely flat and worn, and I couldnt crush anymore granite or quartz. I was advised to flip the plate. After another 2 months of constant use, the other jaws were completely worn out as well. The price for a new set of Jaw plates shipped is $2,600. Meaning I need to replace these plates 3 times per year! Thats almost $8,000 I need to spend a year just to keep this machine operating. And thats before regular maintenance. My sales rep offered little advice or help except sending me a quote for a set of new plates. I ended up welding a set of my own jaw plates that work great now and I use it every day.
